htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary Review: Deadly Imprecision | Technology Tell

Added: 25.02.2015 4:10 | 13 views | 0 comments

Technology Tell writes, "Mion will die a lot in The Firefly Diary. This bothered me at first, because I believed she was dying because I was unskilled. Also, because shes a precious, little baby who has the misfortune of starring in this game. However, I quickly realized that I wasnt the problem. The Firefly Diary is. This is the sort of demanding game where a few seconds can mean the difference between life and death, but people wont know misfortune waits until after theyve experienced it."

htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary - PS Vita Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Added: 24.02.2015 20:10 | 10 views | 0 comments

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: The Firefly Diary is an interesting experiment that suffers an interesting paradox. What should be its strengths often turn out to be the game's greatest weaknesses. Visually htoL#niQ: The Firefly Diary does a beautiful job of creating a world of light and shadow around our quiet protagonist Mion, but that atmosphere is squandered by some questionable game mechanics that might wear players' patience thin before the game's conclusion. Nippon Ichi Software is known for some very stylized titles, and The Firefly Diary is no exception. With more color than Limbo, it is hard not to draw some comparisons to the two games at a glance. The visuals are lovely, charming even. The fireflies glow beautifully as they interweave between light and shadow, Mion slowly trailing along behind one firefly while the other manipulates the environment. There is a sort of minimalist storytelling here that is also reminiscent to Limbo. Clearly something creepy is at play...

htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary Review I Hey Poor Player

Added: 23.02.2015 9:10 | 11 views | 0 comments

Hey Poor Player's Frank DiPersio writes - "From the moment htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary begins you can't help but be pulled into its mystifying and enchanting world. Set in a dark and dilapidated storybook realm, the game begins with mysterious horned protagonist Mion waking up lost and alone on an operating table in a dark, decrepit room with no memory of how she came to be there. Suddenly, the flicker of a firefly illuminates the crumbling chamber and becomes the heroine's guiding light as she explores a shadowy wasteland dominated foreboding shadows, deadly traps, and lost memories waiting to be found."

htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary Review | Dual Pixels

Added: 23.02.2015 8:10 | 12 views | 0 comments

Dual Pixels: "Despite its very weird name, htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is a very quiet and reserved game, but this NIS-created puzzle platform builds atmosphere in a great way. In The Firefly Diary, you play as two fireflies who must guide the amnesia-ridden Mion from the chamber she was found sleeping in to the outside world. During your journey you find out what happened in Mions past and how she got to where she was found by Hotaru, the firefly. "

Grand Theft Auto V PS4 Review

Added: 22.02.2015 18:10 | 1 views | 0 comments

Mike Norton writes:- Play this game. Dont doubt, just buy. This game gives you way more bang for your buck than most games out there. Definitely try out the first person mode and get your hands on a next-gen copy, even if that means rebuying it. There is so much replay value, and so much to do. This is one of the best video games of last year, so if you dont get it youre really going to miss out.
