Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Review | Senshudo TV

Following up on the successes of MH3U, Capcom have been careful not to fix what isn't broken, and instead have tweaked the controls, the graphics and the gameplay to a finely tuned level, before adding in a gutload of new content. Monster Hunter games have always been huge, and this is by far the biggest yet. The story is a little weak, but it's not what the game is really about, and MH4U really shines in multiplayer, and with the added functionality of being able to go online, there's no excuse not to party up and go hunting. There is a humongous amount of content on offer here, but it does require some dedication to get into if you're not a returning Hunter, and that can put a lot of people off. If you're willing to wade through the tutorials, you'll find this beast of a game will keep you going for - literally - months, if not years.

What Are You Playing? January 24th, 2015

Alright, I have to say it. I'm confused. Majora's Mask is nothing like Ocarina of Time and I keep waiting around for stuff to happen. Is something wrong with Link? Probably not, I'm just that under-equipped for a new Legend of Zelda adventure. Between the events going down in Termina and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, I'll really only use my Nintendo 3DS handhelds this weekend.

In a new blog post, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate localization director Andrew Alfonso shares some keen insights into the thinking behind the Insect Glaive weapons English name. The Japanese name for the Insect Glaive is Souchuukon, which roughly translates to control insect cane. While thinking up an English name for the weapon, the localization team spent nearly two weeks discussing its properties with director Kaname Fujioka who provided them with a long list of concepts and images he wanted the name to embody.

Scalebound Is a Mystery No Longer

Added: 23.01.2015 0:10 | 9 views | 0 comments

CheatCC says - "[ Disclaimer: This article features speculation. Its title is not its original. ] Scalebounds game director, Hideki Kamiya, revealed a few weeks ago that the Xbox One exclusive is currently under intensive development. While there is additional information thats currently known about the game, its still unknown at this time precisely what gamers will be getting into with the fantasy title. I originally started out this article with the thought of Scalebound possibly containing some similarities to Monster Hunter, but that hypothesis has since been debunked by Microsofts development manager Ken Lobb. Upon reflection, the notion of Scalebound being similar to Monster Hunter purely because the game featured dragons and a large hydra in its announcement trailer is really reductive, so a comparison between the two on that basis alone would be silly (in my opinion)."

Brandish: The Dark Revenant Review | Hardcore Gamer

Added: 22.01.2015 18:10 | 9 views | 0 comments

The PSP saw a lot of great games in its time, from groundbreaking original titles like Monster Hunter to series-best entries in long-standing franchises like Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Though it never came close to upsetting Nintendos market dominance, Sonys handheld became a haven on the go for hardcore gamers especially those with a penchant for JRPGs. Among all the developers whose games graced the platform, none were quite so adept at developing for it as Nihon Falcom. After reigning for two decades as Japan's premier PC studio, the company finally found its console game groove on the PSP. Their games may not push the technical limits of the hardware, but they look gorgeous on its high-res screen, and their old-school design sensibilities are perfectly suited to portable play.
