Resident Evil HD is a brilliant addition to any horror fans library and while it doesnt add anything of substance to the 2002 Resi-Remake, it brings this grandmaster of Survival Horror back to our consoles.

Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round Review | Mouse n Joypad

Added: 25.02.2015 10:14 | 2 views | 0 comments

MNJ: Strangely enough, there havent been many beat em ups on current-gen consoles up until now. Neither Namco nor Capcom have yet made their move, so Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja decided to current gennify (shut up, its a word now) their Dead or Alive 5 and let people beat each other up in 1080p with 60 frames per second, jiggle physics included. Quite literally. Of the three big franchises of this genre, Dead or Alive has always been the most casual one. Instead of focusing on ridiculously long combo attacks or technical knowledge of gameplay mechanics, Dead or Alive wants its players to have fun first and foremost. Granted, this doesnt mean that theres no depth to Last Round, just that its much easier to get into, and therefore perfect as a couch multiplayer game.

Blue Estate Xbox One Review - Mouse n Joypad

Added: 18.02.2015 10:10 | 10 views | 0 comments

Johnny writes -"When I first heard I would be reviewing Blue Estate, an on the rails shooter from HESAW, I immediately thought of Rambo The Video Game and the terrible time I had playing it. That game should be given to prisoners to play as part of their daily punishment, for me it was definitely something I had no desire to repeat. So, I was sceptical to say the least going into Blue Estate. Dont get me wrong, I do have fond memories of rail shooters in the arcades of my youth, when Tickles pointed out to me that they were incredible fun with a light gun, and this is very true but I dont have a light gun, only my controller and my Kinect to to blast my way through the levels. Blue Estate is a game focused on the comic books created by Viktor Kalvachev, although I have not read any of these personally I did check out the previews they have on the website, just to get a feel of the world they have created through their art and writing. Like all rail shooters Blue Estate is all ab...

Developer Spotlight: Disney Interactive

Added: 18.02.2015 1:00 | 65 views | 0 comments

Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me? Usually, the answer is obvious: M-I-C K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. Since Mickey's debut in 1928's Steamboat Willie, Disney has been not only a powerhouse, but an innovator and pioneer in animation, be it shorts like The Band Concert, syndicated television such as DuckTales and Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers, or any of the multitude of Disney classic animated films like 1937's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and last year's blockbuster Big Hero 6. From ABC to ESPN, the original Disneyland in Anaheim to the upcoming Disneyland Shanghai, the power of the magic can be felt far and wide. In the realm of video games, however, Mickey Mouse is not the leader of the club. In fact, he's barely in the club. Disney Interactive Studios, the arm of Disney Consumer Products dedicated to gaming on console, computer, social, and mobile platforms, has seen far better days. Disney Interactive has posted losses in annual reports five out of six of the past years, and has seen the willing departure of co-president and former Playdom CEO John Pleasants and the unwilling departure of three development studios under the DI banner and 700 employees under its own roof.

The Escapists Review - Mouse n Joypad

Added: 16.02.2015 23:10 | 3 views | 0 comments

Tickles writes - "In this rather humble looking 16-bit retro style title you take control of a prisoner being detained for crimes unknown. Your mission is to escape from various correctional facilities in as short a time as possible. Throughout your stay at the states convenience, you have to plan your escape, find or craft the tools to facilitate your escape and try not to make too many enemies in the process."

Aerena: Masters Edition Review - Mouse n Joypad

Added: 14.02.2015 19:10 | 1 views | 0 comments

Gale writes - "Upon its original release a while back, Aerena couldnt have struck a chord with me. Theres only a handful of free-to-play games I like and I usually abhor the notion of kicking off another one such title. This has much to do with the fact that most F2P games require the player to grind some kind of resource a significant amount of time before being able to properly pose a threat to other players or the NPC mobs. While I cant attest whether this was the case with Aerena, the notion of it being a F2P game made me ignore it. Now that the developer has embraced a pay once, play forever system instead of the old keep paying forever one, lots of new players have been drawn into the game with me being one of them."
