Hyrule Warriors Review: No Need for the Hyrule Historia | Technology Tell

Added: 01.10.2014 5:12 | 4 views | 0 comments

From the review, "Hyrule Warriors doesnt do much of note with the Zelda mythos. [Lucas White] mean, not that Zelda ever does much with it either but, well, there isnt a lot to digest here. What Hyrule Warriors does do is take the mythos, juggle it and play with it as it pleases. As Musou titles are wont to do, Hyrule Warriors reaches into a bucket of buzzwords and familiar jargon, grabs whatever it finds and comes up with a silly way to slap it all together, because why not? There are nods here and there to events, places and characters from past games, particularly the ones more prominently featuring Adult Link. While totally unnecessary, the game goes out of its way to find a quick and dirty explanation for why the characters cross paths across different timelines."

Hyrule Warriors Review | 70% Musou, 30% Zelda, 100% Fun The Game Fanatics

Hyrule Warriors is definitely a Warriors game, but it does something that rarely happens in gaming today: A crossover thats more than just a skin. It may be the familiar Musou combat you were expecting, but Zelda elements permeate everything to some degree. The combo is like a peanut butter and honey sandwich. Its not the traditional snack we all know, but its still very satisfying.

Hyrule Warriors Epona DLC is essential

Added: 01.10.2014 1:12 | 7 views | 0 comments

From the article, "Everyone is super excited about the Hyrule Warriors Epona DLC announcement. They should be. Epona is a classic character in the Legend of Zelda mythos, appearing in multiple installments. It only seems right for the mighty steed to join the warriors when Hyrules safety is on the line. However, theres another reason why Epona is so important. Its because horses are a Musou staple."

Griffin from We Got This Covered wrote: Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja havent exactly set a great precedent for themselves working on Nintendo games, but maybe thats a good thing. Despite Metroid: Other Ms critical beratement, Nintendo has brought back some of the same teams to work on its golden IP, The Legend of Zelda. Though not a proper Zelda entry, Hyrule Warriors brings the best elements of Dynasty Warriors and Musou in general, and packages them in a thick Zelda wrapping. The results are interesting to say the least, and wander into territory Id call fun surprisingly often.

"As someone who had long fallen out of touch with the Pokémon series, Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions has managed to reignite that youthful spark with a fearsome jolt of wonderfully crafted orchestral arrangements." - Patrick Kulikowski
