Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection represents the first time an idol simulation game has found it way to the West. Based on the success of series such as Project Diva f and other super niche titles that may have only a few years ago been an isolated fad, it seems that now more than ever people on the other side of the pond look to be more accepting and arguably inviting to new experiences. Does Neptunia PP offer a good taste about what the genre has to offer us? Yes and no.

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: The title of this one, like most of the games in the series, is a bit of a mouthful. The Hyperdimension series also has a tendency to throw a lot of content at gamers with JRPGs that present humorous characters, lots to explore and plenty of systems to learn. The biggest problem with this latest game in the series is that it retains most of the charm that the series is known for, but little of the deeper gameplay mechanics fans have come to expect as well.
