Here's a look at DmC: Definitive Edition running at 60fps

Added: 22.01.2015 13:03 | 19 views | 0 comments

A fast and furious glimpse of Ninja Theory's fancy port.
As good as it was, the original version of DmC: Devil May Cry felt a mite sluggish compared to previous games in the series, on account of its 30fps limit. Thankfully, that's being done away with for the Xbox One's DmC: Definitive Edition, which doubles the framerate to a cool 60fps, while adding a load of other extra gubbins in the process.

UM writes: Its well established that ninjas rule everything around them and are totally sweet. Video game creators certainly know this fact, so its no surprise that ninjas have appeared in various video games throughout the years. Just about all of them kick ass, but some stand out much more than others. I recently played Ninja Blade demo which I thought sucked and got to thinking about the coolest, most bad ass ninjas in video games. Naturally, I created another Power Rankings. Review: Cake Ninja 3: The Legend Continues (Wii U eShop) - NLife

Added: 19.01.2015 1:10 | 4 views | 0 comments

NL: "Apparently, ninjas hate cakes, and developer Cypronia has been struggling to produce a decent game based off this assumption since its first attempt on DSiWare back in 2011. With years of experience under its belt and a baked goods massacre to show for it, has the move to Wii U made for a more substantial title? Let's begin by addressing the shadowy assassin in the room, and point out the obvious similarities between slicing cakes and slicing fruit. Yes, Cake Ninja will seem very familiar to anyone who played a certain iOS and Android game, but the real problem with the series has always been how poorly these titles compare to their source of inspiration. On DS, previous instalments disappointed with limited modes and frustrating gameplay issues, leaving us less than enthusiastic about this first home console release."

TouchArcade: '1-bit Ninja Remix Rush' Review - Feels Like the First Time

Added: 14.01.2015 9:10 | 8 views | 0 comments

TouchArcade: One of the cooler games in the history of the App Store era of mobile gaming was 1-bit Ninja [$2.99], it being a platformer with a couple of neat twists: you could only move in one direction, generally forward; you could also shift the perspective of the screen to see ahead and to find where obstructions were actually background objects. It was a remarkably clever game, and one that is still fantastic today thanks to its recent update making it work on modern devices. 1-bit Ninja Remix Rush [$1.99] uses many of the same principles as that game, but with a new endless structure, that manages to be a great way to check this out for the first time, or as a way for people familiar with the original to get a fresh experience.
