Sony Announces Vita Pets

Nintendogs and virtual pets in general have pretty much sold well over the years, so I suppose it makes sense that Sony wants to capitalize on this idea. Introducing PlayStation Vita Pets, a virtual dog simulator (maybe they'll introduce more types of pets via DLC?) that is unmistakably inspired by Nintendogs.

Pet sim-adventure embarking onto PlayStation Vita next year.

Developed by EyePets PSP creator Spiral House, PlayStation Vita Pets sees players picking from four different puppies which they can dress, bath, train and play with, before setting off an adventure across Castlewood Island.

The title of this game immediately made me think it was going to be a Nintendogs + Cats rip off. Never have I been so wrong. It actually is a surprisingly deep puzzle solving platformer.
