Deadpool Review | Tech Raptor

Deadpool is the game that Duke Nukem wanted to be; action packed, hilarious, and as erratic as Deadpools personalities. With a great mix of humor, bloodshed, fast paced combat, and customization, the game came out much better than I had personally expected. With that said, the game mixes a pretty generic combat style with an erratically funny, and somewhat confusing story. With the game being as multifaceted and crazy as Deadpool himself, if you love crude humor, jokes that really shouldnt be funny, killing things, and hack n slash combat, then Deadpool is the game for you!

Duke Nukem II (iOS) | FTG Review

Added: 12.07.2013 5:16 | 11 views | 0 comments

FTG Writes: If I were Duke Nukem, Id be pissed. Not because I obviously had some sort of chip on my shoulder that I make up with an abundance of testosterone and machismo, but because of all the games from my era, my franchise gets the worst treatment. Shadow Warrior is looking badass. Rise of the Triad is on track to rock the world. Duke Nukem Forever is found in the Gamestop used bins for $3.00. Sadly, it deserves to be there. Perhaps in a move to capitalize on the hatred that swirls about for Duke these days, or to simply rekindle some nostalgia to bring favor back to Americas favorite anti-hero (Id like to hope its the second), Interceptor Entertainment has brought the side-scrolling predecessor Duke Nukem II to iOS. Is it as fun as I remember it being? Or will it make me want to kick a Battlelord in its junk?

No further details given by Randy Pitchford.

Studio boss Randy Pitchford revealed the news on the Nerdist podcast, adding that Gearbox has delivered its final current-gen release with Borderlands 2.

"We're not launching any new full products for the current-gen again," he said. "We've launched the last of our current-gen products, and everything we've got in development is for next-gen."

He continued: "We are building an original IP for the next-generation that we'll announce some time later.

"Obviously we have Borderlands, we've got Brothers In Arms, we've got Duke Nukem and we acquired Homeworld...

Vaporware is a harsh word. It's typically reserved for games that have been MIA for years and years - like the 15-years-late Duke Nukem Forever, or the never-saw-the-light-of-day Starcraft Ghost. Using that term for an iOS game - a platform that hasn't quite broken the 5 year mark - may seem silly to some. But there are two iOS games that I'm comfortable saying that about, and is one of them.

This Is How Alien Squashing Plays Out In The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

Added: 28.06.2013 0:06 | 19 views | 0 comments

Without a 2K Games booth at E3, I and many other show-goers felt like something was missing, like that big stretch of open seating where Duke Nukem and his school girl booth babes sat only a year go felt emptier and sadder than ever before. Of course, lacking a booth on the show floor doesn't mean the publisher is without games to get excited about this Fall.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Feature - The Digital Fix

There is an ominous feeling around games based on classic franchises that disappear, reappear, disappear then rise again from the ashes. One only needs to look at the infamous Duke Nukem Forever to see just how badly things can turn out. Furthermore the X-COM franchise itself is no stranger to the concept of failed spin-offs ranging from the mediocre flight sim X-COM Interceptor to the abysmal third person shooter X-COM Enforcer that took exactly zero concepts from the original turn based strategy. So the messily titled incoming third-person shooter The Bureau: XCOM Declassified (with its own equally messy backstory of cancellations and redesigns) is clearly treading dangerous ground with the vehement voices of old-school gamers standing on the picket lines waiting to tear it apart

Deadpool Review | ImpulseGamer

Added: 26.06.2013 15:17 | 9 views | 0 comments

ImpulseGamer writes: 'Deadpool reminds me of the Duke Nukem of the comicbook world, a character created in the 90's in a time where comicbook publishers such as DC and Marvel tried to gritty up their characters. As a result, Deadpool was born thanks to writer Fabian Nicieza and artist Rob Liefeld about a mercenary anti-hero who didn't take crap from anyone.'
