ChristCenteredGamer Yumi's Odd Odyssey review

Yumis Odd Odyssey is the third game in the Umihara Kawase series which is popular in Japan. This is the first and only game to come to North America. The series began in 1994 on the Super Famicom system. The sequels were released on the Japanese PlayStation, PSP, and DS systems. What sets this series apart from other platformers (other than the bizarre dream world and creatures) is that the main characters are equipped with a bungee-like fishing line that they can attach to surfaces and sling themselves around the level.

Diehard GameFAN: Ragnarok Odyssey Ace (PS3) Review

Added: 14.04.2014 14:15 | 0 views | 0 comments

DHGF: Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is a fine upgrade to the original game, and the PS3 port is welcome for those who dont have a Vita or who want to play the game on a bigger screen, as its a fun enough game in the genre, albeit one that could stand for some stronger focus and depth. The storyline is basic but works for the intended purpose, the visuals are obviously not taxing the PS3 but are artistically strong enough to get by, the audio is solid overall even if nothing stands out as amazing, and the base gameplay is simple to figure out and work with. The game makes a big effort to be more fantastic than its brethren with special techniques and the powerful Dainsleif Mode, and between its own mechanical novelties, the variety of things to collect and earn, online multiplayer with friends and cross compatibility with the Vita and PS3 versions, theres certainly a lot to love about the game.

Diehard GameFAN: Ragnarok Odyssey Ace (Vita) Review

Added: 14.04.2014 14:14 | 7 views | 0 comments

DHGF: Ragnarok Odyssey is a fun take on Monster Hunter for sure, and the inherent charm and aesthetic of Gravitys game series is delivered here in spades. For those who passed on the initial release the first time around and are considering giving it a go, this version comes recommended. The additional content compliments whats already there seamlessly, and the $34.99 asking price is without a doubt worth whatever extra over what going for the original release might cost you. For those who already put considerable time into the original, you will no doubt feel like Ace should have been offered as an add on content pack, as requiring you to play through the exact same content a second time, with only a handful of new things available, doesnt seem fair, especially since a large portion of the money youll spend on it is going towards something you likely already paid for, and definitely already played.
