The platform series, otherwise known as Umihara Kawase (?), follows the adventures of a young school girl of the same name who has been trapped inside an alternate world. The main antagonists in this alternate world are mutated fish. While side-scrolling platforms do not always raise the eyebrows, one main distinction that adds a ton of challenge and technique to the game is the rope dynamics. Similar to the NES version of Bionic Commando, Umihara must use a rope (BC had a robotic grappling arm) to avoid, swing, battle, and capture the bizarre creatures she is surrounded by.
