Remember Me Out Tomorrow, Soundtrack Can Be Yours Now

Added: 04.06.2013 11:18 | 1 views | 0 comments

As you might have noticed, reviews for Remember Me from Capcom and Dontnod have been dropping all day today. While critical response has been varied, one element seems to be meeting more consistent approval: the soundtrack. The music, composed by Olivier Deriviere (also responsible for the cello-centric Of Orcs And Men soundtrack) is a clever blend of orchestral works with electronic overlays. The intent, as Deriviere told us is to have the music support the themes of the game, including memory manipulation and loss of self, and to serve as "another layer of information." You can get the entire soundtrack now from iTunes for $9.99. Remember Me arrives tomorrow, but our review is available for you at this very moment.

411mania - Star Trek: The Video Game Review

Added: 03.06.2013 13:18 | 6 views | 0 comments

411mania - Star Trek: The Video Game was a game I was pretty excited about when I previewed it at E3. I love the Star Trek franchise, and a new action game where you could play as Captain Kirk and Commander Spock for the first time in basically two decades (since the Star Trek CD-ROM games with the original cast) was an exciting prospect. Based on statements from the developers, I really believed this would not be your typical rushed movie-licensed title. So here are the results, with Star Trek: The Video Game, a new game based on the current movie franchise from Paramount Pictures set between the last movie in 2009 and Star Trek: Into Darkness currently in theaters. The movie boasts an all-star voice cast featuring the entire main live-action movie cast reprising their roles, original music from movie composer Michael Giacchino, and a story developed by the movie screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. So almost two years after my first E3 preview of the game, how did this th...

Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves Review | ComboCaster

Added: 30.05.2013 21:17 | 2 views | 0 comments

Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves is a game that has gone out to a few weeks but only now been able to examine. It is a game that mixes tower defense with direct action, a bit like Orcs Must Die but in a quite different way. It is also a game that exudes Canadian culture. From the home menu, history, environment, and practically everything else is pretty inspired Canadian culture, this culture who may not know much but if they know they will understand what I say. The story is of two brothers who have to defend themselves from the attacks of wolves, werewolves and other creatures at night while her sister recovers from a mysterious illness supernatural. Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves is also one of the hardest games I've played. Comparing it with Orcs Must Die for example is much more difficult, mainly because while in Orcs Must Die just could successfully appeal to action without thinking too much of a strategy, especially in the early levels, here the very action phase involves...

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Review | Quarter to Three

Tom Chick writes, "Van Helsing also has a set of perks he can pick among because, well, it was pretty cool in Fallout so theres no reason it shouldnt be here. I mostly admire that Neocore is willing to mix some Fallout and Orcs Must Die into my Diablo. If theyd gotten more Diablo in there, I might still be playing."

Mars War Logs Review (PC): Daily Joystick Podcasts

Added: 19.05.2013 12:17 | 12 views | 0 comments

Ian from DJ Podcasts writes "French developers Spider Studios, have only created a handful of games the last of which was the underwhelming Of Orcs and Men in 2012. However while these indi developers continue to refine their ideas and create unique experience Mars War Logs is perhaps the single best game of their portfolio to date. Spiders openly stated that War Logs was The game they always wanted to make from the start and it shows, as it combines all the elements and ideas they have previously tried wrapped up in adult dialogue and a wicked sense of humour."
