Alissa from Twinfinite writes, "Bringing a successful console franchise to handheld systems is no easy feat. Handheld renditions of popular titles tend to be dumbed down and generally inferior versions of their console cousins. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, however, manages to provide a simplified, handheld friendly, Arkham-esque experience while still remaining faithful to the quality weve come to expect from the series. Blackgate accepts that it is a portable title and embraces the features that come with that label, though thats not to say that the game isnt without its flaws."

The two are unrelated and have a hard time considering both the same Batman or even the same universe, but the approach is similar to the hero. Both try to make realistic hero, perhaps less in videogame, but the somber tone remains. Batman: Arkham Origins proudly tries to stand on the shoulders of giants, but ultimately falls short of its predecessors. Origins is the third installment of the highly praised Arkham series; a series that has shown Batman, at long last, finding success in the video game world. Rocksteady did a wonderful job making him a force to be reckoned with, as well as show his smarter, vestigate side of him.
