The long-delayed remake of '70s sci-fi classic Logan's Run is alive once more, with X-Men producer/writer Simon Kinberg replacing for what would have been his first film credit since his breakthrough game projects at Irrational. There were reports earlier this year that, with Gosling now gone from the production, a new writer was being sought to rework the picture to feature a female lead. Whether this story change is still the case remains unknown, but Levine confirmed on Twitter that he is no longer working on the script. Levine also mentioned that this would not be the end of his screenwriting career, and that he was working on a new, unknown film project that could be announced soon. As a writer and producer, Kinberg is involved with some of the biggest sci-fi/fantasy properties in film. He has credits on several of Fox's Marvel titles, including this year's Fantastic Four reboot and the upcoming Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse. His involvement with the Star Wars franchise, meanwhile, has included several episodes of the Rebels animated series, as well as screenwriter for one of the upcoming standalone Anthology movies. The original Logan's Run was released in 1976 and starred Michael York and Jenny Agutter. The sci-fi thriller portrayed a dsytopian future controlled by computers, in which citizens are terminated at the age of 30.

"Over the past few years, the announcement of the latest classic game to be remastered has become as predictable as an annualised entry in the Call of Duty series. But when done right remasters have a lot to offer, appealing to rusted-on fans while hopefully bringing new converts into the fold. So what happens when a facelift is applied to a 20-year old game like Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father? Is it a feeble attempt to turn back the clock, or a masterpiece of the finest calibre? Well, just like any sort of cosmetic surgery, Gabriel Knight may look beautiful on the outside but it doesnt always mask the underlying flaws."

The Duels of the Planeswalkers series has seen many annual releases as the years have gone by fun, single-serving Magic: The Gathering digital games that allow players to experiment with interesting subsets of cards from the classic card game. Over the years weve seen more freedom, more cards, and improvements like getting to select your own land cards and full deck-building options. With Magic Duels, we keep all the best parts of the series, but the annual releases are no more.
