Sonys decision to cut out backward compatibility for the PlayStation 4 was apparently not an easy one. True, Dave Perry (founder of the cloud gaming platform Gaikai) suggested during the PS4 s reveal back in February that its Gaikais goal to include the full spectrum of the PlayStation line-up of titles (as detailed in the latter of part one of our report on the PS4s announcement), but unfortunately it seems that PS3 gamers will not be able to play their PS3 games on the new machine via traditional means.

Cheatcc Says: "While the king of console FPSes in 2013 is probably Call of Duty, this wasnt always the case. Back in the day, GoldenEye 007 was the monarch in the land. But that seems like a lifetime ago, and recent memory tells us that Halo was the royal FPS for nearly a decade. Its release helped carry the Xbox console, the sequel helped Xbox LIVE soar to unprecedented heights, and Halo 3 brought the concept to the 360 while closing down the revered trilogy."

You may not now this about me, but before joining PSLS, I was a professional wrestler. Fighting under the name Huevos Rancheros, I was the best around. Sadly, my career ended thanks to an unfortunate donkey accident on one dreary August evening.

Welcome to episode five of Morning Wood. This week Chandler talks about pitching tents to have a symbiotic relationship with his fellow writers, throwing down the beat and making it rain, and his own controversial opinion on Disneys shuttering of LucasArts. The background is also royal purple in honor of a game that I recently picked up from another shuttered publisher. Watch the video below.

No, Im not the Editor-in-Chief at PSLS anymore, that honor is now in the hands of the extremely competent Sebastian Moss. Hes the one who started these Editors Letters, and with him being away for the week and me stepping back onto the throne for a bit, I thought Id try my hand at this. Im going to tell you some of the trials and tribulations of PlayStation LifeStyle, how it got to where it is today, and what lies ahead in the future.
