PlayStation Now: Changing the Game

Added: 01.02.2015 23:13 | 11 views | 0 comments

It was a rocky start for Sonys new streaming service when the open beta launched in October, but much has changed since then. In the beginning PlayStation Now was a new way to rent and play PS3 games. Now, for $20 a month, the Japanese giant is giving access to over a hundred, in a similar fashion to how Netflix lets you stream movies and TV shows. It isnt a new idea companies have been doing the same thing on tablets and PCs for years but Sony is already at an advantage. It was announced earlier this month that 18.5 million PS4s were sold in the last two years, and if those numbers are anything to go by, its clear that their decisions influence the industry. In other words, if PlayStation Now succeeds, Microsoft and Nintendo will eventually have to come out with their own streaming services. And chances are it will succeed. Theres already a solid, varied library of games, and according to Sony, plenty more are on the way.

Life is Strange: Episode 1 Review Reality With a Splash of Magic (PSLS

Added: 30.01.2015 2:10 | 6 views | 0 comments

PSLS writes: Ill be honest I was a little worried going into Life is Strange. Being a fan of Telltales games, I was nervous that Life is Strange would try to be an imitation of them, or at least come off as a well-made clone, but a clone nonetheless. Well, I was wrong incredibly so. Life is Strange is an episodic, choice-driven adventure game, sure, but it is focused on real-life, with just a splash of the mystical, while the Telltale games are somewhat the opposite. After only an hour in the game, I was completely and utterly immersed in the games world, and did not want to have to leave after the first episode ended.
