Pachter can't believe the Nintendo president hasn't exploited the mobile space with the firm's vast back catalogue.

Pachter said that Nintendo should be releasing old GBA titles on phones and tablets for free, whilst charging $3-$5 for more recent DS games, potentially generating huge additional revenue for the flagging firm.

A move into the mobile space would also give Nintendo a chance at driving the audience to its gaming platforms, said Pachter.

The analyst predicts Wii U will top out at 30 million units worldwide, a figure expected to be around a quarter of the 100-120 million PS4s and 90-110 million Xbox Ones.

"I don't know why Iwata is still employed," Pachter said...

PS3T Review: Gran Turismo 6

Added: 06.12.2013 9:17 | 0 views | 0 comments

PS3T: " Gran Turismo is racing royalty on PlayStation; the grand patriarch of simulation driving. To some it's drier than eating a barrel full of crackers in the desert and about as much fun as being repeatedly kicked in the crotch, while to others it represents the pinnacle of petrolhead nirvana, with a million different parts for upgrading your cars and seemingly infinite parameters to fiddle with. You might say it's the 'Real Driving Simulator', because that's what it says on the box, and always has. Always will, probably."

Has the PS4 risen from the PS2s ashes?

Added: 06.12.2013 7:17 | 1 views | 0 comments

The PS2 was a freak console in sales terms; currently holding the title of highest selling gaming device of all time with a little over 155 million units and in many countries its still selling in low numbers. It was something of a perfect storm for Sony when the PS2 arrived. The price was excellent, it included a DVD player, it had a great fan base from the 100 million unit selling PS1, Sony were hot as a brand and life was great for them.
