Electronic Arts confirms Dead Space 4 is not in development, but says that the series will live on.

The Dead Space series is a "great brand" for Electronic Arts, but a new entry in the series not in active development, the publisher has confirmed with .

"I wouldn't say [the Dead Space franchise is] cancelled at all," EA Games boss Patrick Söderlund said. "Dead Space remains a brand that is close to Electronic Arts' heart. It's been a great brand for us done by a very passionate team."

Söderlund explained that developer Visceral Games is now working on an "exciting new project," which he believes is a better fit for the studio than a fourth entry in the action-horror series.

"Is that team working on a Dead Space game today? No they're not," he said. "They're working on something else very exciting. You have to think of it from that perspective. Is it better to put them on the fourth version of a game they've done three previous versions of before? Or is it better to put them on something new that they want to build, that they have passion for?"

Visceral Games is working on all-new Stars Wars games, joining DICE and BioWare.

In March, a report claimed the Dead Space series was canceled outright after Dead Space 3 "

Pixelitis Preview: Rays the Dead freshens zombie trope

Added: 16.06.2013 10:17 | 0 views | 0 comments

"I don't know about you, but I'm getting pretty tired of zombie-related games. And yet every so often I come across one that does something new with the infected that doesn't involve brutally decimating them. Add Ray's the Dead to that list of exceptions. Located in the indie PS4 corner of Sony's booth at E3, Ragtag Studio's Ray's the Dead can be summarized as a cartoony, dark-humored "action-stealth puzzler."" - Patrick Kulikowski

Added: 15.06.2013 21:17 | 4 views | 0 comments

"What is a man, but a miserable, little pile of secrets? utters Dracula near the beginning of my Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 demo as he looks out into the distance to the throes and throes of human enemy combatants that begin their assault on his domain. Fans of Symphony of the Night are sure to get a kick out of that throwback to one of the series greatest entries, meanwhile Im left wondering what was going through voice actor Robert Carlyles mind as he was asked to recite that gloriously cheesy line." - Patrick Kulikowski
