BioWare general manager says studio's upcoming titles are using DICE's latest engine.

Both and the next Mass Effect game will be powered by DICE's Frostbite 3 engine, BioWare has said.

"For everyone who's been asking after the #BF4 reveal, #DA3 and the next Mass Effect are also using Frostbite 3. It's awesome," said BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn .

The Frostbite 3 engine was announced hand in hand with DICE's Battlefield 4 reveal at GDC 2013 earlier this week. 17 minutes of footage was shown, detailing many of the visual improvements DICE has made to the Frostbite engine since Battlefield 3.

The Frostbite 3 engine does not currently support the Wii U, however. Battlefield executive producer Patrick Bach that "the Wii U is not a part of our focus right now."

[PAX East '13] Pixelitis Preview: Chillin with Nilin in Remember Me

Added: 27.03.2013 4:18 | 0 views | 0 comments

"One of the first games I set my sights on at PAX East was Dontnod Entertainment and Capcoms upcoming sci-fi action title Remember Me. I think the cyberpunk setting and female lead had something to do with it. The game stars Nilin, a female memory hunter who breaks into peoples minds and steals their memories. The 15-20 minute demo that I played had me tracking down a runaway seeker (think a cross between a Mass Effect Geth husk and a Cybernetic zombie of sorts). Nilins movement within the environment took a little getting used to; moving Nilin about with the left analog stick didnt feel as smooth as it could be but I eventually got the hang of it. The games camera also could use some work, particularly in enclosed spaces where sometimes itll get too close behind Nilins back." - Patrick Kulikowski
