Weekly Digital: Winter game sales and eShop woes

Added: 28.12.2013 19:17 | 14 views | 0 comments

"Christmas may have come and gone, but the winter game sales are here to stay. Until the first week of January, at least. GOG.com is bringing out some final sales on many DRM-free PC games until Sunday, including classic titles like Wasteland and I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream for $1.99 each and Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut for $9.99. Following several server issues, Nintendo of America had to take down the eShop servers between 4PM yesterday and 4AM today. Despite this, the eShop has still been updated with new releases, including Dr. Luigi on Wii U, Super Punch-Out!! for the Wii U Virtual Console and Mario Tennis (GBC) for the 3DS Virtual Console. Some have had luck in connecting to the eShop, while others have not. Which camp do you fall into?" - Patrick Kulikowski

Mega Man-athon 2 charity event gets equipped at MAGfest 12

Added: 25.12.2013 6:16 | 11 views | 0 comments

"The folks over at the cleverly-named Half Empty E-Tank are coming back to MAGfest for Mega Man-athon 2. For those who dont remember, the Mega Man-athon is a 72-hour marathon in which several MAGfest attendees join forces to play through as many Mega Man games as possible, all for charity (and everlasting peace, of course). The project has noticeably received a big boost from last years event, having received an official sponsorship from Capcom and a MAGfest music bundle tie-in with its donations. Half of each donation will benefit Childs Play, a charity that uses its donations to deliver games, books and toys to ailing children in hospitals." - Patrick Kulikowski

LocoCycle Review [Xbox One] - AllGames

Added: 22.12.2013 21:16 | 13 views | 0 comments

Excerpt - "While I can appreciate a good B-movie, Lococycle tries too hard. It's got some good bits, especially during the live action cut scenes. They even got some name actors and a B-movie legends; Freddy Rodriguez plays Pablo, James Gunn is the Big Arms CEO, Tom Savini is the leader of the motorcycle gang, Robert Patrick is the voice of S.P.I.K.E., and Lisa Foiles is the voice of I.R.I.S....The live action encapsulates the best parts of the crazy story. It's in the game where things start falling apart."
