The Pixelitis Podcast Ep. 55 Black hole butts
Added: 26.08.2013 22:18 | 1 views | 0 comments
"We know that titles a little ridiculous, but hear us out. Things got a little weird yesterday both on the podcast and on MTVs yearly Video Music Awards.
Never mind the fact that the very notion of music anything and MTV being in the same sentence being the weird bit there, but Disneys pop princesses sure do have a tendency to break bad, dont they? You never hear iCarly twerking on some random dudes junk in front of millions.
In all reality, its pretty hard to remember why the titular term for this weeks show came up in the first place.
Either way, this weeks show is a doozy. The old cast consisting of Andrew Martins, Patrick Kulikowski and Karen Rivera got together once again to talk about vidyagameZ. From Final Fantasy X HD to the PlayStation Vitas price drop, there were plenty of topics to discuss.
So as always, feel free to hit play below. Dont forget to subscribe to us on iTunes and Stitcher Radio, while youre at it." - Pixelitis Staff

| Nerds Without Pants Episode 29: Ethical Nerds
Added: 25.08.2013 13:19 | 13 views | 0 comments
PixlBit | "It's Friday, which means it's time to take your pants off and listen to another wonderful episode of NWP! The guys run the gamut of geekdom this week, with talk about anime, art books, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and the greatest Jason Statham move ever made: Saints Row IV.
After that, Patrick takes over to discuss ethics in the video game industry. How underhanded is it to lay off people right after a project is done? What about the unfortunately necessary evil that is the PR and game writer relationship? All of these topics and more are discussed at length in a rather thoughtful episode of Nerds Without Pants!"

| The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses impressions

"I was lucky enough to attend The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses at the NJPAC in Newark, NJ on Aug. 10 along with Pixelitis dynamic fraternal duoPatrick and Damian Kulikowski.
After getting to talk gaming music with Symphony producer Chad Seiter, we got to check out the stage just as the house was opening up.
Looking out into that sea of Zelda fans, you could see hundreds of devoted fans (as well as the NPACs snazzy crystal orb light fixture). Some attendees came with brilliant cosplays; others dressed formally in ways that recalled the series motifs: like a green suit and tie or a green evening gown. Whatever you wore that night, you could definitely feel the love from fans of music and gaming alike." - Maxwell Coviello

| Spicing up Zelda Symphony: An interview with Chad Seiter

"Chiptunes dont translate to a vast orchestral piece as easily as one might think.
Performing a videogame composition once and then looping it for another go may be passable in some venues, but in the case of an orchestra playing the widely cherished The Legend of Zelda series soundtracks, there needs to be an added level of pizzaz to spice it all up. With The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, this includes selecting tracks that best represent specific games and tying them into a movement that tells that games story.
Producers Jeron Moore and Jason Michael Paul have spoken passionately about the formation of the show, so it only seemed fitting to continue along and talk to Chad Seiter, the symphonys orchestrator. You might know his name from some of his film and TV composing work for Lost, Fringe and this years Star Trek game." - Patrick Kulikowski
