Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (PS3, Xbox 360)

Added: 01.12.2014 0:12 | 2 views | 0 comments

Dave Roberts writes- Out now on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The first thing I noticed about Advanced Warfare on PS3 is that I should have been playing it on a PS4. The cut-scenes are utilising the Avatar motion capture for Kevin Spaceys face (or Kevin Facey if you would prefer), and on PS3 you're left winding up your Playstation 3 graphics chip with a winch just so see what is only a slightly more sophisticated version of the paddle in Pong with Kevin Spacey written on it.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Review I Hey Poor Player

Added: 30.11.2014 21:11 | 31 views | 0 comments

Dragon Age: Inquisition represents a return to form for Bioware. After Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 were both disappointments for a lot of people (myself not included), and after the side quests in Mass Effect 3 consisted of a creepy Shepard eavesdropping on Citadel denizens and retrieving random objects for them, the density of content in Inquisition given the world size is truly staggering.

XCOM: Enemy Within review - Post Arcade

Added: 30.11.2014 20:16 | 5 views | 0 comments

Post Arcade: "This game was reviewed on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 8.8.1. Regular readers know that I typically spend evenings playing games on my iPad while watching TV with my wife. Weve been binge-watching the The Americans over the last couple of weeks. I love the show whats not to like about cold war spy stories mixed with a bit of 80s nostalgia? but I confess I have no idea whats happened over the last dozen episodes. Thats because I havent been able to pull my eyes away from XCOM: Enemy Within, the new iOS port of an expansion to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, one of the best turn-based strategy games of the last decade."

Tales From The Borderlands: Zer0 Sum Review I Hey Poor Player

Added: 29.11.2014 12:11 | 7 views | 0 comments

Hey Poor Player's Francis DiPersio writes- When Tales from the Borderlands was first announced it was easy to feel a bit skeptical as to whether or not Telltale Games could deliver as far as spinning a yarn as grand as The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us. Dont get me wrong; while the Borderlands titles have always featured some enjoyable writing, the narrative itself is usually buried under mountains of bullet-riddled bodies and shimmering loot. In the dangerous, bandit-filled wastelands of Pandora, the story has always taken backseat to wholesale destruction, the pursuit of bigger, badder guns and even bigger, badder psychopaths to blast into mountains of twitching meat.
