Review: Hatsune Miku: Project MIRAI DX (3DS) | Nintendo Life

Added: 05.09.2015 12:17 | 9 views | 0 comments

NL: To those who know her, she needs no introduction: Hatsune Miku is a star. To those who don't, she definitely requires some explanation: Hatsune Miku is a 'virtual idol' and the world's most popular Vocaloid, a personification of a software synthesizer given background, personality, and a constant stream of songs to sing by composers and fans around the world. She's performed in real-life concerts (via hologram), had #1 singles, and starred in a hugely successful series of rhythm games by SEGA, now making its Western Nintendo début on the 3DS with Project Mirai DX.

DD: At first, I actually wasn't 100 per cent certain on Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX on the Nintendo 3DS. I kinda assumed that I would enjoy it, given that it's Miku and all, but I prefer the aesthetics of the more "realistic" Miku. As adorable as the nendoroids that Project Mirai gets its aesthetics from are, I wasn't sure I would enjoy a game without the realistic Miku in it quite as much.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva DX Review | 3DS Pedia

Added: 05.09.2015 11:17 | 16 views | 0 comments

Hatsune Miku started out as, and technically still is, a voice synthesizer program, but for the best part of her life shes been looked upon as the worlds most famous virtual singer. She and her fellow Vocaloids have way too many songs to count, but every once in a while a bunch of the more famous ones get compiled into a rhythm game by Sega. The latest such release is Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX for the 3DS.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX - GR Review

Who’d have thought fake people could put on such a kickass show?

The last time I played one of these, the phrase "pop songs as sung by Siri" popped into my head, which might be a bit harsh but not altogether inaccurate. Hatsune Miku is a series centered around the titular character, who is a popular virtual idol with a completely computerized voice—long neon-blue hair, headphones eternally over her ears, perfectly-choreographed dance moves, the whole nine. And on the 3DS in Project Mirai DX, instead of trying to appear as a 3D anime-styled idol, all of the idols in the package are short, squatter chibi figures that are just adorable.

Hey Poor Player's Francis DiPersio writes - "Segas signature diva has returned for an encore performance with Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX. This offshoot entry in the Project DIVA series of Vocaloid rhythm games is the sequel to 2012s Japan-exclusive Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai, marking the blue-haired starlets debut on the North American Nintendo 3DS. While still a rhythm game at heart, Mirai DX offers tons to see and do both on and off the stage as you take charge of your troupe of idols in this latest musical adventure."
