The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Review | Paranormal Pulp The Game Fanatics

Added: 30.09.2014 19:12 | 10 views | 0 comments

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was weird fiction pulp done right, and it looked amazing. If it were a dame that had walked into my office I could safely say she was a looker. She had legs that went on forever too. I assumed control of the paranormal P.I. Paul Prospero, a burned out detective thatd seen too much, and investigated a letter from Red Creek Valley. A letter sent by one Ethan Carter. As I entered the sleepy little podunk I was greeted by a grisly sight. Ethan Carter was in danger, and I was his only hope. This game is a narrative experience that does not hold your hand. the game claims on my first foray. Well see about that.

What Puts the J in JRPGs?

Added: 29.09.2014 1:12 | 7 views | 0 comments

Hardcore Gamer: Its often wondered what, exactly, sets JRPGs apart from their western cousins. Some say its simply a matter of being Japanese, but that doesnt really account for games like Child of Light or Dark Souls. There are certain conventions that define the genre the game design factors that put the J in JRPGs. There are exceptions to nearly every one of these rules, but in conjunction they give the subgenre its distinct feel.

"In my second match, I teamed up with someone, with me controlling one stick and my teammate using the other half of the same DualShock 4 controller. Both matches were quite entertaining. I can see this game being very cool to have at parties." -PSLS

Review: Super Smash Bros. for 3DS (Pure Nintendo)

Added: 26.09.2014 19:12 | 7 views | 0 comments

Pure Nintendo: "If you have a 3DS, get this game. If you dont have a 3DS, go get one, then get this game. Ill even say this, as a gamer who loves collecting games to put on his shelf, this is a title that Im glad is digitally downloaded on my handheld. I knew that this game cartridge would always be in my 3DS when it was announced and now, I have it with me all the time. Just as a forewarning though, it is a chunky download, going up to a whopping 9,000 plus blocks. Its worth every block for hours upon hours of constant Smashing. See you in the fray!"

Review: Hideaways: Foggy Valley (Pure Nintendo)

Added: 25.09.2014 22:12 | 10 views | 0 comments

Pure Nintendo: "Foggy Valley maintains the status quo when it comes to content. Like City Mysteries, its quite short. Replay is more to find new items, and less to get a faster time or more points. With readily available hints that show you the exact location of items (and offer no point penalty) Foggy Valley doesnt present much of a challenge, even with a timed mode. Like the prior title, genre fans will get some short-lived fun here, but may want to wait for a sale due to the games brevity. Id like to see Selectsoft aim higher, with more content for these releases. Ive reviewed better hidden object games on the eShop, but there are just enough differences and improvements here to make me score Foggy Valley a bit higher than City Mysteries. Its still just an average game, but an enjoyable enough way for fans to pass the time."

Review: SPIKEY WALLS (Pure Nintendo)

Added: 25.09.2014 21:12 | 16 views | 0 comments

Pure Nintendo: "I like RCMADIAX. I dont like SPIKEY WALLS. The style isnt a good fit for a home console like the Wii U, and its a poor game in its own right. One could argue it offers a few minutes of mild enjoyment at a very low price, but I cant see myself returning to it the quality just isnt there. Spend 99 cents on Blok Drop U or Poker Dice Solitaire Future instead. SPIKEY WALLS is an ill-advised impulse, one that may ultimately backfire. Super Robo Mouse cant come soon enough!"

Review: Hyrule Warriors (Pure Nintendo)

Added: 25.09.2014 20:12 | 2 views | 0 comments

Pure Nintendo: "For Zelda fans looking to pick up this title, keep in mind that this is still a Warriors game. However, it is one of the best in the franchise, and not because it takes place in the Zelda universe. One of the best improvements to the Warriors series is that Hyrule Warriors gives the player a lot to do on and off the battlefield. Yes, the ability to KO thousands of monsters is still there, but looking for weapons, heart containers, and skultulas, while fending off bombchus, and bosses keeps the gameplay exciting. If you are a Warriors fan, or interested in the series, I definitely recommend you pick this up."

FIFA 15 Review | Pure Xbox

Added: 24.09.2014 18:12 | 3 views | 0 comments

While the off-pitch changes this year are relatively minor, the on-pitch ones in FIFA 15 are important and generally good. The goalkeepers are going to be what divides the fanbase this time around. Some will love them, whilst others will generally hate them. At one point or another though, everyone will have a problem with them.

PS4 Responds to Xbox One UK Price Drop with Retailer Promos

Added: 24.09.2014 13:12 | 5 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "While we do tend to pay over the odds a lot of the time, the best thing about living in the UK aside from fish and chips, of course is that retailers will fight tooth and nail for your business. This results in a ridiculous number of loss leaders, where supermarkets and specialist chains will launch outrageous deals in order to drive foot traffic into their stores. It also means that prices drop incredibly fast, as various shops react to different promotions."
