Why Is Science Fiction So Hard to Pull Off Effectively in Gaming?

Added: 16.08.2014 5:26 | 5 views | 0 comments

CCC Says: "Not too long ago, Destiny's beta wrapped up, and gave players a taste of the latest sci-fi world that Bungie is building. While the Halo-esque heritage was still there, the beta was a refreshing break from modern military shooters, offering us a glimpse of a diverse sci-fi landscape. With the exception of Destiny, The Swapper, and a small handful of other titles on the horizon, sci-fi games tend to be few and far between."

Review: Tangram Attack (Pure Nintendo)

Added: 15.08.2014 18:13 | 6 views | 0 comments

Pure Nintendo: "Tangram Attack offers some short-term fun at a wallet friendly price. Its repetitive however, with some control issues, and design that relies too much on chance over actual skill. Id rather play a real Tangram game myself, but those looking for something different could certainly do worse than Tangram Attack. If the arcade meets puzzle gameplay sounds appealing to you, give it a download. The $2.99 price is reasonable for whats offered here, issues and all."

Review: XType Plus (Pure Nintendo)

Added: 15.08.2014 17:13 | 6 views | 0 comments

Pure Nintendo: "XType Plus is very easy to pick up and play. With the dual analog stick control scheme, XType Plus is one of the easiest titles to play but gameplay can get rather difficult. GamePad features are nonexistent and doesnt even offer Off TV Play but this doesnt impact gameplay unless someone else needs the television. XType could use some minor improvement but is otherwise a solid experience. I commend PhobosLab for XType Plus and I hope to see the developer provide an expanded XType experience on the Wii U in the future."

P.T. Playable Teaser or Pure Terror?

Added: 15.08.2014 16:13 | 3 views | 0 comments

Samwise L Jackson or Fully 'Avin It Writes: If you own a PlayStation 4 and consider yourself to have balls of pure adamantium, then you might want to have a little look at a mysterious new addition to the demo section on the store. It is something called P.T., which we believe stands for Playable Teaser. The concept is an interactive teaser trailer for a new game as opposed to mere footage. Going into it you wont know what game its a trailer for the only information you get before playing it though is that its made by 7780s Studio.

Added: 14.08.2014 21:13 | 25 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "I understand where Polygon scribe Colin Campbell is coming from when he says that he wont be playing the recently announced PlayStation 4 conversion of thatgamecompanys seminal spiritual adventure, Journey. Like the author in question, I too havent booted the game since a gloomy morning in March, where I ploughed through the entire experience in a single sitting and then rushed to write the review should any of the emotions that I was feeling in the moment evaporate. That was over two years ago now, though, and Im ready to return."
