Interview: Shining Some Light on PS Vita's Actual Sunlight

Added: 16.08.2015 15:18 | 17 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Will O'Neill is the creator of the recently released PlayStation Vita game Actual Sunlight a unique title that's a candid and no holds barred game about one man's struggle with depression. We thought that it'd be a good idea to have a quick chat with Will and find out a little bit more about him, the aforementioned release, and who may be his favourite member of Steps although we can't promise that we got an answer for that last one."

BioWare Community Bands Together to Bring Friends to Next-Gen Dragon Age

Added: 14.08.2015 22:18 | 40 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "The BioWare community has always been pretty tight-knit, as evidenced by countless successful community-driven events over the years, both within the developer's creations and at social occasions like conventions or expos. This latest effort from fans is particularly heart warming, though, as a group of Dragon Age: Inquisition players banded together in order to bring the joys of new-gen consoles to those less fortunate."

Yasai Ninja (PS4) Review - Push Square

Added: 14.08.2015 16:18 | 7 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Think of the most frustrating gaming moments you had as a child. Add them all together, and you still probably can't even come close to Yasai Ninja. This is a game to be avoided at all costs. With no redeeming factors, and a whole catalogue of problems, Yasai Ninja is more painful to play than forcing down sprouts at Christmas, with about as much reward. A good ninja shouldn't be seen or heard, and the same can be said about this game."

Actual Sunlight (PS Vita) Review - Push Square

Added: 14.08.2015 16:18 | 5 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Actual Sunlight's ability to stir discomfort is its greatest achievement. It depicts the difficulties of trying to beat depression alone, and while that makes for some pretty heavy material, it's successful in what it sets out to do. There's no punch pulling here; there isn't any back slapping to make you feel better about what you're seeing. As such, this won't necessarily improve the mood of anyone that's dealing with depression. It will, however, give perspective to someone on the outside looking in and that's powerful."

Boggle (PS4) Review - Push Square

Added: 14.08.2015 15:18 | 9 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Boggle's a fine word game that, despite some less than optimal controls, has been re-purposed for the PlayStation 4 reasonably well here. However, with so little content on offer and Ubisoft locking many of the game's unlocks behind its many meta-currencies this doesn't represent value for money at all. As part of a larger, more cost-effective compilation, this would have been a fine addition but instead you have a mind bogglingly expensive minigame, which only the most dedicated of wordsmiths should consider."

Added: 13.08.2015 19:20 | 11 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence is out early next month on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The historical Japanese strategy series returns West after a particularly long break, and its newest entry promises to be packed with more tactical goodness than ever before. In order to learn more about the game itself, the new features that it brings to the franchise, and publisher Koei Tecmo's localisation efforts, we took the opportunity to chat with the title's producer, Kenichi Ogasawara."

Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey (PS4) Review - Push Square

Added: 13.08.2015 17:18 | 49 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey is a barmy title built around one imaginitive mechanic. Using the PlayStation Camera to bring yourself into the action is a neat novelty, but it does have a shelf-life. It's also not for those that are opposed to moving more than their thumbs. Still, if you're looking for something a little out-there, then this is an interesting option and the fact that it offers an excuse to actually use the PS4's underutilised camera is just the cherry on the top."

Lost Dimension (PS Vita) Review - Push Square

Added: 13.08.2015 17:18 | 6 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Lost Dimension isn't a game for the impatient. Learning the combat system and paying attention to each and every line of dialogue requires a large amount of focus but can feel massively rewarding when you get it just right. Those willing to invest will find that the loveable characters and attractive art style provide more than enough incentive to replay the game multiple times, but the generic story and often frustrating judgement system prove to be traitors at times."
