Push Square: The Evil Within Review

Added: 14.10.2014 8:12 | 1 views | 0 comments

"At its controller clutching best, The Evil Within evokes memories of Silent Hills high points but its the Resident Evil comparisons that are most consistent throughout. Unfair difficulty spikes swap out the titles pervading sense of fear for outright frustration at times, while technical issues undo the developers outstanding art direction. Thankfully, legendary director Shinji Mikami doesnt disappoint in the gameplay department, forcing you to get creative with your plentiful combat options due to an unending absence of resources. Its here that developer Tango Gameworks finds the breathless brilliance within."

Dust: An Elysian Tail (PS4) Review - Push Square

Added: 13.10.2014 12:12 | 7 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Dust: An Elysian Tail is a relatively rousing beat-em-up experience. Its combat feels fluid and precise, its presentation is mostly gorgeous, and its story while relatively pedestrian is told with humour and panache. Unfortunately, a repetitive second half combined with some potentially profanity-provoking platforming hold it back from truly soaring."

Added: 12.10.2014 23:12 | 6 views | 0 comments

Recently China relaxed its decade old ban on gaming consoles and both Microsoft and Sony were quick to confirm that their new consoles will indeed be released in the Peoples Republic. While Sonys plans are still not known Microsoft went ahead last month and released Xbox One in China. Sony has set the wheels in motion but has still not provided any concrete details about when its new console will be released in China. Paperwork filed by Sony reveals that it expects to ship 200,000 PlayStation 4 units in China every year starting December 2014. Not only will this open up a completely new market for the company but will also compete against the Xbox One thats currently selling unopposed in the Peoples Republic. For Chinese customers this would mean more choice.

Defense Grid 2 (PlayStation 4) Review - Push Square

Added: 12.10.2014 18:12 | 3 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Though not perfect, Defense Grid 2 presents one of the best tower defence options on the Japanese giants shiny black box. It has everything that a fan of the genre could want, loads of modes, challenges, and, at its core, is just plain fun. The back and forth between the excellently voiced characters is entertaining, even if the narrative is messy and the excellent dynamic maps are few and far between. Those willing to overlook these few flaws, though, are in for a good time."

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (PlayStation 4) Review - Push Square

Added: 12.10.2014 18:12 | 5 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition provides a good excuse to get involved with Hong Kong's shady dealings if you haven't already, but a lack of new features makes it difficult to recommend a return trip at least at full price. It's still a fantastic sandbox title, however, sporting cohesive, engaging mission design, satisfying gameplay, and a great story a formula which makes Wei Shen's tale a fantastic alternative to the likes of Watch Dogs and even Grand Theft Auto V if you're looking for an open world time sink."

Chariot (PlayStation 4) Review - Push Square

Added: 12.10.2014 18:12 | 8 views | 0 comments

Push Square: "Chariot is quite the surprise. Its endearing style, smart design, and intuitive gameplay really hooked us, and we ended up having great fun in both single player and co-op. With a Platinum Trophy, and tons of content to tuck into, this is one carriage well worth riding."
