Lara Croft Go is "all about fighting against the environments"

Added: 18.08.2015 9:18 | 22 views | 0 comments

GR-UK writes: While the latest Rise of the Tomb Raider gameplay demo suggests a step back in the direction of raiding tombs and solving puzzles, you may still be hankering after the purer style of gameplay offered by the older games. Lara Croft Go may be what you're looking for. During Gamescom, we caught up its brand manager Genevieve St-Onge to talk the game's design and how it taps into the older version of the series. "As with the first classic Tomb Raider games it's all about Lara fighting against the environments," she explained. "We have different creatures, you have traps. You have turn-based boulders."

Will PlayStations Bare Autumn Help Xbox Close The Gap?

Added: 16.08.2015 22:18 | 20 views | 0 comments

PlayStation is winning. There is no doubt about it. In all likelihood the Sony console is 10 million units ahead of Microsofts Xbox One. Now, Xbox isnt doing badly, not by any stretch of the imagination, but PlayStation 4 for whatever reason is just doing crazy numbers. It has already out sold both the original Xbox and Nintendos GameCube. But will any of this change come autumn? Will any of this change when Xbox unleash their hefty line up of exclusives while PlayStation unleash well, nothing really. Autumn is looking pretty bare for Sony, while Microsoft has Rise of the Tomb Raider (timed exclusive), Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Forza and Halo 5. PlayStation has maybe, possibly, No Mans Sky but really even that probably wont come out this year. The real question is will any of this have an effect? Or at least one that is substantial?

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Review

Added: 15.08.2015 20:18 | 30 views | 0 comments

NGN: Despite being one of the longest running franchises in the business, Tomb Raider hasnt produced many spinoffs. So when Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light made its debut back in 2010, many were pleasantly surprised that a franchise was able to successfully take a new and more casual approach. Thanks to enjoyable gameplay and an appropriate price point, the standalone adventure was a solid diversion for developers Crystal Dynamics. And its no surprise, then, that it got a sequel. Unfortunately, while it maintains some of the elements that made the original game fun, Lara Craft and the Temple of Osiris has too many technical and design problems to keep the quality of this spinoff series intact.

Can Rise of the Tomb Raider Go Against Fallout 4?

Rich Drummond of gaming Tech United writes: "It seems like just yesterday that Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced and the internet went crazy over its deal with Xbox to appear on the Xbox One first, but we're just a few months out from its release on the 10th of November. What has taken me by surprise is the fact that even though the Bethesda's colossal title Fallout 4 has also claimed that date as its own, Rise of the Tomb Raider has stuck firm to the date. So we ask you, can Rise of the Tomb Raider Thrive Against Fallout 4?"
