Releasing a new linear, single-player IP with a female protagonist was a gamble to begin with. Filling it with so much creative energy and ambition created a promise that was probably impossible to deliver on. Dontnod did their very best though, and that is what makes Remember Me so engaging, despite its flaws and derivative nature.
