Escape Dead Island Review (Invision Game Community)

Whether or not you like Dead Island or Riptide gameplay will matter not with Escape Dead Island. This is a whole different genre, simply within the same universe. 6 months after the events of Dead Island, you play as Cliff Calo; son of an enterprising business man who he is not on good terms with.

Avoiderdragon: The Dead Island series is confusing in terms of whether it should be liked or hated. The first game was actually pretty good despite its faults, and Dead Island Riptide was much of the same in a different setting. While were still waiting for the release of Dead Island 2, it seems like Deep Silver thought of releasing yet another game to fill the gap and get more audiences into the series. What came out of it is questionable though.

Escape Dead Island - Thejimquisition

Thejimquisition: "I must confess a fair amount of fondness for Dead Island, Techlands admittedly messy foray into tropical zombie mayhem. While not a particularly polished game, it carried with it a certain charm, marrying cooperative role-playing mechanics to hack n slash undead slaughter. Unfortunately, attempts to capitalize on the original games apparent success have failed to gain much traction. Dead Island Riptide felt like a tepid placeholder that refused to address the original games many varied problems, and while I barely even noticed the release of Dead Island Epidemic, the popular opinion seems to be that I didnt miss much. Sadly, the same is true for Deep Silvers latest spin on the series, with Escape Dead Island coming across as little more than a rushed attempt to remind us the franchise exists while Dead Island 2 remains in production."

Escape Dead Island review: in shambles - Polygon

Added: 18.11.2014 10:12 | 15 views | 0 comments

Polygon: "Escape Dead Island is a difficult game to explain. It's part of the same universe as zombie-infested open-world adventures Dead Island, expansion Riptide and the forthcoming Dead Island 2, but it's presented with a different perspective (third-person, not first) and with few of its predecessors' trademark facets, like loads of loot, handmade weapons and constant stat improvements. Escape Dead Island is also difficult to explain in that I'm not certain the written word has the capability of communicating what a ghoulish, infuriating, dull, taxing, miserable amount of excrement Deep Silver has managed to squeeze onto a single unsuspecting disc."

Dead Island 2 Preview (Strategy Informer)

Added: 09.10.2014 19:14 | 21 views | 0 comments

From Strategyinformer.com: "Please don't get confused. After the first Dead Island did hugely well Deep Silver were confident that they could turn it into a franchise, which is why we're expecting three Dead Island games right now. There's a MOBA, a third-person more adventure-y spin-off, and Dead Island 2. No, Riptide wasn't a proper sequel. And no, Techland (who made the first two games) aren't doing this, they're off doing the similar but more serious and parkour-driven Dying Light. Dead Island 2 though, from Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager, is looking good. We've got an interview up already, now you can read what we thought of the game itself. ".

Beach Buggy Racing The sequel to Beach Buggy Blitz is now upon us, and I am very excited indeed. I loved the first game, and Vector Unit's other major series - Riptide GP - is a personal favourite from the App Store. Over the next week I'll be putting the free to play racer through its paces and finding out whether or not that excitement is well placed. Ready? Set? Go. First impressions Beach Buggy Ra...
