Avoiderdragon: Most of the time, movie tie-in games tend to be at least disappointing. But then again, there isnt much to be disappointed about anyway since movie tie-in games are known to be mostly bad anyway, so most people who do get them tend to have low expectations anyway. Theres also the paradox at times that makes good movies have bad games and bad movies have good games (excluding the likes of Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever). With this particular game though, there may be a bit more to consider than just the usual trend.

Kotaku: Alien: Isolation, the (pretty good!) new horror game from Creative Assembly, pays direct homage to one of those films, Scott's 1979 horror classic Alien. What I totally missed while playing it (I can't believe I missed this) is that it also sneaks in a nod to the director's other masterpiece, 1982's Blade Runner.
