DToid:The Sacred series is never going to give Diablo a run for its money, but it's always had its own unique charm. It's a fairly standard dungeon crawler with its own element of silly humor, and that's been enough to earn it a place in my heart. Given my fondness for Sacred, and my love of classic beat 'em ups, Sacred Citadel earned my attention from the outset.

3D:Sacred Saga offers a rather curious spin-off that is called Sacred Citadel. And far from being a classic RPG, it is a full-fledged beat'em up whose main virtue is its three-player cooperative mode simultaneously. His mechanics are somewhat unchanged and its duration is rather "Justito", but then graphically is grateful and development is entertaining.

MeriStation: "In a point somewhere between the masterpiece DD: Tower of Doom and the nightmarish Double Dragon 2: Wander of the Dragons is where we could situate this Sacred Citadel, a spin off that will be preparing the way for its older brother Sacred 3. Visually vibrant and colourful in a comic-esque style, it's a shame that its walkthrough seems like a rollercoaster, with great, funny playable action parts and others boring or insanely harder. Give it a try if King of Dragons means something for you. Definitely get it if you planned to play it in coop with a couple of friends, the greatest element of the whole game and its reason to be."

Game Over Online: "Its got some flaws, but Sacred Citadel is a very good game as a whole. It isnt quite a must-buy at $15 given that its also got day-one pay DLC though. If the base game was $10, that would be an easier pill to swallow, but at $15, it costs a bit too much to get the full experience. Its still well worth playing, though, and most will probably be satisfied by picking up the main game and waiting for a sale on the DLC down the line. Sacred Citadel offers up a lot of fun for beat-em-up fans, with a surprisingly high amount of depth in its gameplay making replaying stages with each character type something youll come to enjoy instead of dread like it many other beat-em-ups."
