Seth Killian Leaves Sony, Teases Santa Monica Studio's "STELLAR Lineup"

Seth Killian has confirmed his departure from Santa Monica Studios, revealing that he left Sony back in December of last year "on great terms."

So why then has he decided to leave the folks at Santa Monica? Apparently, the indie scene has inspired him to go off and do his own thing. He explained on Twitter:

In addition, Killian teased PlayStation gamers in another post, saying that Santa Monica Studios has some really exciting stuff in the works.

The Sony first-party studio has an amazing track record, so there's plenty of reason to be excited. Might we finally get a God of War IV announcement this year at E3? Just imagine how amazing a next-gen take on that series would look!

Left the God of War studio back in December on "great terms".

"Hi guys, I chose to leave my Sony family back in Dec + on great terms," Tweeted Killian. "I was inspired by their amazing indies to do my own thing :)"

Killian added that it won't be long until fans get to see some of the games he worked on during his time at the Sony studio.

"You'll see the games I had the privilege to work on at Sony soon - SMS has a STELLAR lineup coming," he Tweeted.

He added that you'll have to "stay tuned" to see what he's up to next.

Stig Asmussen, a developer who was heavily involved in the God of War trilogy, has parted ways with Sony's Santa Monica Studio.

Sony confirmed his departure to IGN, saying, "SCEA can confirm that Stig Asmussen is no longer with Santa Monica Studio."

Jamie Griesemer confirms departure, but isn't talking about what's next.

A Twitter user had spotted that Griesemer's CV noted he was no longer at Sucker Punch. "Yes, I have left SP. Not really talking about it yet, tho," said Griesemer in response.

Griesemer joined Sucker Punch back in 2011 as boss designer for inFamous 2 and Festival of Blood. Prior to this he worked at Bungie on Halo 2 all the way through to Destiny.

This is the second high-profile Sony dev departure in as many days, with Sony also confirming that God of War 3's creative director Stig Asmussen has left Sony Santa Monica.
