TSA writes: "It seems to me that Arkham Origins is in safe hands with Warner Bros. Games Montreal, the first game in the acclaimed franchise which hasnt been developed by Rocksteady Studios. Theyre not revolutionising the mechanics of the series, but at the same time they dont necessarily need to when the its still very well regarded and has many features which could be deemed best in class."

Killer is Dead Review - PixlBit

PixlBit | "Misogyny. Its a word thats been thrown around in tandem with Killer is Dead since the fated Gigolo Mode was first revealed. However, creator Grasshopper Manufacture has gotten a raw deal. This tongue-in-cheek mode (that only features two unique encounters) has thrown the stars completely out of alignment for the studio and the game at large. The fact of the matter is, Killer is Dead is quite similar to Suda51s past works. Combining the frantic action of No More Heroes with the third person shooting from Shadows of the Damned and the darker atmosphere offered by Killer7, Killer is Dead is a fantastic fusion of some of Suda51s oeuvre. The cryptic narrative that undercuts the experience further accentuates the charm of this excellent action game."

SB: "The minds of Goichi Suda, better known in the videogame industry as Suda 51, and the team at Grasshopper must be a twisted and disturbing place. All of the games are unique experiences, just look at the previous titles, Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadows of the Damned and No More Heroes for proof. Killer is Dead is the latest title with the same amount of style, imagination and technical shortcomings that we have come to expect."

With our current console generation coming slowly to a close, this made it Grasshoppers possible last title of this generation, among many, including: No More Heroes 1 and 2, Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw, and even Fatal Frame 4 (Also known as Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen in Japan) which they co-developed. The footage dazzled the audience, impressing many on account of Killer is Dead running on the (now considered dated) Unreal 3 engine and looking quite beautiful with its creative use of cel-shading and color palette. Anticipation among the hardcore crowd was running high, on account of the genre slowly becoming more and more irrelevant in our current marketplace. While not exactly being a Suda51 game, he was a part of its development, especial...
