Interview With The Game Bakers Cooking up Something Unique With Squids Odyssey

Added: 09.02.2014 18:15 | 5 views | 0 comments

Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed a giant list of Wii U and 3DS indie games releasing in the next three months. One of the titles on the list was Squids Odyssey by first-time Nintendo developers, The Game Bakers. The game was originally announced for the Wii U and 3DS back in August during an indie-centric Nintendo Direct, but we hadnt heard much about the game since, so Nintendo Enthusiast decided to get in touch with Director Audrey Leprince (Tom Clancys EndWar) to find out more.

What Are You Playing? February 8th, 2014

So many games. The Elder Scrolls Online beta. Nick just posted an in-depth preview and we've written a lot about the game already, but I'm going to hop online and try my hand at reigniting my passion for dinosaur people who don't actually use their tails to fight, but totally should. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Can't say much. Read our recent preview to get caught up on Gabriel Belmont's eternal struggle with darkness, but I'm already barreling through for our review. Bravely Default. The world isn't gonna save itself! We need four heroes of light to rise up and make sure that any RPG cliches are also served with heaping helpings of humor. I really love what I've played of Bravely Default so far, and I'm sure there are plenty of weekend warriors taking their first steps in this adventure. Check out Heath's review and our tips. GTA Online. I'm oddly addicted to this. DLC please! Something on PlayStation 4. I need to plug that bad boy in and download all my PlayStation Plus games as it's been too long since I last turned my PlayStation 4 on. What are you playing?

Hate Flappy Bird? Play these brutally difficult games instead (iPad)

Tell me if this sound familiar: Everybody you know is talking about , so you gave it a download. Two minutes later, you erased it from your phone (along with the contact information of everybody you know who recommended the damned thing).

You like a good challenge, but you'd prefer something with a little more polish. A little more substance. Something that you'd be proud recommending, but at the same time, something that will kill you in seconds without hesitation. Something that keeps you coming back for more. Worried you won't find anything that's both difficult and divine? Don't worry - we've got you covered.

Critical Lit: The Real FFVII Prequel

Added: 05.02.2014 6:16 | 0 views | 0 comments

Something astonishing has been discovered: in both chronology and themes, Final Fantasy X is actually the prequel to VII. The two games are both internally consistent and philosophically intertwined, to the point that both universes share many of the same themes, technologies, and even the same deity. Word of God states that the two games are set in the same universe, but separated by a millennium. From this, we can gleefully obsess over the links between the two games and tie them together both theologically and thematically.

The Minecraft arcade machine

Something fascinating materialized on the show floor at MineCon just over 2 months ago, a creature brought in from the wild, rarer than a sighting of Bigfoot and cooler than Marty McFly dragged out of the eighties in a down vest. It was an arcade machine, but not just any kind of arcade machine. . . a Minecraft arcade machine.

Gears of War Xbox ONE Possibilities GoW 4 or Something Else?

Tristan of RGN writes, "Something that many Gears fans might not know is that in all actuality, the humans in the Gears Of War franchise are considered to be the bad guys by the majority of beings found in the game. This is shown after theyve destroyed everything, at the end of Gears 3, and the Locust Queen basically calls all of mankind villains while providing some supportive reasons as to why. Personally, I dont think Marcus and the crew are exactly bad, but the majority of the human race? Yes, for sure."
