A combination of Xbox exclusivity and poor reviews meant before Blacklist, I hadnt taken Sam Fisher out for a ride since he was on the PS2. The reasons for Splinter Cells fall from grace isn't especially difficult to nail down. In the days of Call of Dutys dominance and development by focus groups, turning a stealth game into a shooter made sense because it was all about the mass appeal. Ronin is not the game that you would expect. The trailer seemed to bill Ronin as a turn-based stealth game. It turns out that it is more like the blood-soaked Kill Bill series rather than something along the lines of a 2D Splinter Cell.
