Styx: Master Of Shadows (2014) Review | FilmGamesEtc

Up until now, gamers looking for a pure triple-A stealth experience that didnt have Thief or Splinter Cell in its title have had to make do with slim pickings. Cyanide Studios is hoping to change that however with its newest game release; Styx: Master of Shadows. The game combines freeform exploration with a plot centered around an unusual protagonist: the titular Styx, a goblin master thief who utilizes various tools and unconventional tricks to help him get in undetected and get out. But does Styx strike the right balance of tense stealth, harrowing escapes, and satisfying loot collecting? Or was this goblin thief better off remaining in the shadows?

"Back in 2012 it was announced that there was a Splinter Cell movie in production, with a release date of 2015 being set.
Two years have since passed and we're no closer to seeing (or not seeing, if he's any good...) Sam Fisher on the big screen." - TGC

| Is Ubisoft Making A Mistake Releasing Assassin's Creed Unity Before Assassin's Creed Rogue?
Added: 21.08.2014 18:17 | 3 views | 0 comments
2014 is set to see two Assassins Creed games released within a couple of weeks of each other. The first to be revealed was Unity, which will be exclusive to the new generation of machines and wont appear on older hardware. Assassins Creed: Unity adds some new mechanics to the franchise, with things such as the ability to climb downwards more fluidly and a dedicated stealth button that allows players to use a cover system similar to Ubisofts own Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
Stealth has always been a problem with the series. In a game with the word Assassin in the title, you expect a certain degree of sneakiness. Usually the stealth just involved blending in with the crowd, sitting on a bench, hiding in a bale of hay, sneaking through a bush or sprinting at rooftop guards and shanking them before they turn around.
