| Bastion Review Timeless Tales From a Stranger (PSLS)

"You may have played Bastion before, but I missed it. Yeah, its been available in various formats since 2011, from Xbox 360 to PC, and even mobile and browser-based versions, but somehow I still never got my hands on it. I loved last years Transistor, though, and when I got a chance to play Supergiant Games first release, I jumped at the opportunity to see what all the fuss was about. My views on this game are from a fresh perspective of having never played it before, but acknowledging that the original release was four years ago and this is simply an opportunity for PlayStation players to get in on the experience." - PSLS

HD:
'Tales from the Borderlands' uses a disjointed method of storytelling. In the first episode it was a bit hard to follow, but as the story is fleshed out, its a bit easier to keep up with. Our "heroes," Rhys and Fiona, have been captured at an unknown point in the future by an unknown, masked gunman and, en route to an unknown destination while being escorted by said gunman, they relay the story of how they came to be in this particular predicament. So, the perspective flashes back and forth between what is kind of the present, where Rhys and Fiona more or less fabricate their roles, and the past, where the bulk of the gameplay is to be found.
