Dying Light's lack of perfection shouldn't stop Techland from developing a sequel. The game isn't a technological masterpiece, but it has a handful of elements that are unique to the zombie genre. And the universe is far teresting than most of the other zombie titles on the market.

Like copycat movies that follow the bona fide blockbusters, Techland seems to take the best games around, tinker with them behind the scenes and release mindless yet fun B-list titles. They are immediate, unpretentious but lack the finesse of the top-tier franchises they strive to be. [Update 2] The folks over at Techland have released a new patch for Dying Light that adds mod support back into the game. Dubbed version 1.4.0, this new update also improves load times, overall stability, and more.
