Sly Cooper: Thieves In TIme Review-TGH

Added: 23.04.2013 19:20 | 17 views | 0 comments

TGH Writes: "How do you go about bringing a stagnant franchie back to life? This was the task levelled at Sanzaru Games a developer whos catalogue is little more than ports and tweaks of other studios titles bar the mediocre Ninja Reflex (their first title). However, for their second original title they enter into the world created by Sucker Punch by creating the sequel Sly Cooper fans have been waiting for. Luckily they didnt stroll in blindly to make their mark upon the franchise as they previously revamped the PlayStation 2 series in a wonderful HD collection. It certainly shows though as Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time only shows splashes of something new."

Gone are the glory days of gaming platforms. Currently the market is saturated with FPSs and action games in the third person. Ratchet Clank is quite probably the only exception, perhaps explained by its strong focus on action. Naughty Dog Still Astounded By PS3's Hardware, Finds "New Ways To Push It"

Added: 20.04.2013 19:26 | 13 views | 0 comments

The PS3 has still got it.

Speaking to gamesTM, Naughty Dog Designer Ricky Cambier shared his team's positive experience developing on the PS3 late in its life cycle. He said:
It is toward the end [of the console cycle] but we are still pushing the hardware. We bring that clear to the players and to the expectation that the PS3 is still an exceptional piece of hardware. Even at this stage we are finding new ways to push it. Each game Naughty Dog has put out has gone one-step beyond its last. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was downright gorgeous and four years later is still regarded as having one of the best presentations on any platform. Its successor, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, went even further, and this year's The Last of Us is the king of the jungle.

Biggest PlayStation 3 Exclusives Still to Come in 2013

Added: 19.04.2013 23:18 | 31 views | 0 comments

TechnoBuffalo: ''2013 is the year Sony will be pushing the PlayStation 3 to the limits to see if it really does have the self-proclaimed PlayStation 10 Year Cycle its older brethren did. To do this, Sony have scattered handfuls of wonderful exclusives throughout the entire year designed to show off what the aging console is still capable of and to show its still a viable option for those not ready to make the jump into the next generation, much like the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 did. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and God of War Ascension have already graced the system this year, and many more are to come.''

Review: Sly Cooper Thieves In Time (This Is My Joystick)

Added: 15.04.2013 18:18 | 12 views | 0 comments

Thieves in Time begins with famous thief Sly Cooper now living a relatively crime-free life, apparently faking amnesia to be with be with his law-enforcing missus, all due to events at the end of the prior game. His good friend Bentley, however, has noticed that words are fast disappearing from the Thevius Raccoonus (Slys family history) Back to the Future style, as someone is trying to erase the Cooper legacy. So back in time the team must go, to rescue Slys ancestors and restore the historical timeline and thats where my interest in this story waned. Will you discover whos behind it all? Will you even care? Because, honestly, I really struggled to the more the game went on.

Marty writes: Its not fair that my review copy of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time arrived in my hands the same day as BioShock Infinites release. Here was the gem heralded by many as the game of our generation, and I was expected to ignore it and instead focus my attentions on a thieving raccoon. After days of torturous beard-tickling by a fellow DC colleague, I finally caved in, and shoved the disc into the lips of my PlayStation 3.

PS3Center writes: After the successful port of the Sly Trilogy, Sanzaru Games were given the go ahead by Sony and Sucker Punch to make the next proper sequel to the franchise, almost eight years since the last game released on the PS2. Whilst this game was originally meant for the PSP, Sony asked Sanzaru games to instead make it for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, in a situation that was similar to how Ico released on the PS2 instead of the PS1.
