Chart-Track revealed earlier today that Call of Duty: Ghosts had debuted at No.1 in the chart, but was only the third biggest launch of 2013, behind GTA 5 and FIFA 14.
However, is a 50 per cent drop year-on-year so bad when you consider other cross-generation titles? Battlefield 4 sales are down a staggering 69 per cent over Battlefield 3, while Assassin's Creed 4 took a 60 per cent hit over Assassin's Creed 3.
FIFA 14, which launched earlier than the rest and had more space between it and the next-gen, was down just 24 per cent over FIFA 13.

3% of total Call of Duty: Ghosts sales were attributed to the PS4 version, outselling the PC and Wii U versions.
The statistic was revealed during the announcement of this week's chart, which saw Call of Duty: Ghosts storm to the top of the UK Top 40.
The PS4 version performed "spectacularly well for a game that consumers will not be able to actually play for another 3 weeks," Chart Track says.
