BagoGames | Trine 3: The Artifacts Of Power Preview

Added: 09.07.2015 9:15 | 5 views | 0 comments

BagoGames So is Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power currently worth the $20 pricetag its sporting? Id say yes and no. For three beautiful and might I add, very long levels, fun platforming, and mostly interesting puzzles; Yes, its worth it. But at the same time, there are some kinks that need to be ironed out, and if youre not willing to put up with that, Id stay away for a little while. Maybe at least until more levels have been added.

Triple Triad Online: keeping the Final Fantasy minigame alive

Added: 08.07.2015 23:15 | 7 views | 0 comments

When Cyril Bondue first played Triple Triad, the peculiar card-collecting minigame from Final Fantasy VIII, he became slightly obsessed. For Bondue, like many other fans of Squaresofts (now Square Enix) enduring JRPG of the late 90s, playing Triple Triad became more important than the main game itself. Ten years on, Bondue decided to take his love for Triple Triad a step further. While still attending school in his native Berlin, he tried his hand at programming. But with no experience, he decided to create a fan project based on an existing franchise. Naturally, Triple Triad was at the forefront of his mind and thus Triple Triad Flash Online was born. Today, TTFO has over 36,000 registered users and hosts approximately 140 games per day, not to mention fortnightly championships which see 150-200 players face off for coveted character cards. Back in 2009, however, TTFO wasnt as well established as it is now.

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power | Should You Play This Game?

Added: 07.07.2015 11:15 | 4 views | 0 comments

An objective look at the early access of Trine 3 along with some personal thoughts. "I have previously only played the first Trine game, which I liked, and never experienced any of the second one. It is the first game in the series where you can move around in a 3D environment instead of just 2D, but so far this doesnt seem to add much to the game, but isnt a hindrance either. The game also felt much simpler, easier, and lacking depth that the first one had. In particular, there are no longer items to equip and find in levels, there are no bonus abilities to upgrade or unlock, and enemies are no challenge at all. This could just be because it isnt finished yet, but it sounds like levels will be the only thing they have left to add to the game."

New Racing Game Anki Overdrive Featuring Physical Track, Cars Coming in September

Added: 02.07.2015 17:55 | 3 views | 0 comments

Anki has announced that Anki Overdrive, its new racing game, will begin shipping on September 20 in the US, Canada, UK, and Germany. Like its predecessor, Anki Drive, this is a racing game with a twist: It features a physical track that has toy cars racing along it.

In addition to returning game modes like the self-explanatory Race and Battle (cars can be equipped with virtual weapons, as in a kart-racing game), Overdrive introduces two new modes. Time Trial has you trying to set the best lap time possible, while King of the Hill tasks players with being in first place for the longest amount of time.

Also new to Overdrive is a modular track. With the pieces included in the starter kit, you're able to build eight different tracks. This number grows further by buying expansion kits; what start out as relatively simple arrangements can turn into something much more elaborate, like what you see below.

Overdrive is played using a mobile device by downloading the Overdrive app. The cars can be (virtually) customized with new weapons and upgrades, and Anki--which is a robotics and AI company, rather than a game developer--claims the AI "allows each car to fully control itself on the track and use diverse strategies to fight to the finish."

later this year, but it comes at a cost. In addition to the iOS or Android device each player needs, the starter kit is priced at $150. This comes with 10 track pieces, two cars, a charging platform, and a tire-cleaner. Unspecified new modes and features will be released for free post-launch, and the game supports tracks and cars from Anki Drive.
