Boosty from DJ Podcasts writes "LEGO City Undercover is by far one of the best LEGO games that Ive played to date. Thats a tall order especially when titles such as LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Lord of the Rings are backed by massive movie franchises. LEGO City Undercover is the first LEGO title thats not emulating a movie and is entirely fresh, and works darn well. Nintendo fans rejoice, as you now have a system exclusive thats truly worth bragging about."

Since its introduction in 2012, Nintendos new game console Wii U hides in the shadows. The reason: Lack of good games. Lego City Undercover is finally a reason to turn on the box. For the first time in the history of the LEGO video games, the makers start without having a strong brand behind it. While Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings or Batman appeared on the cover, a LEGO hero now has to take a stand.

Lego City Undercover Review (Nintendo-Okie)

Added: 05.04.2013 14:18 | 24 views | 0 comments

"The Wii U saw an entire month without any kind of retail release, and without releases your console is not going to sell. Wii U owners have had nothing much except the titles that launched with the system way back in November. March has finally given the struggling system some new titles for owners to play. Arguably, one of the most anticipated is a Wii U exclusive from TT Games and Nintendo, LEGO City Undercover. Not only is the title a welcomed and fresh take on the third-person sandbox-style game, but it is one of the greatest [exclusive] reasons to own a Wii U right now.", writes Nintendo-Okie.

Lego City Undercover is a novel idea that succeeds in creating a kid-friendly open world. It's an enjoyable romp for young players but the combat lacks depth or difficulty for adult gamers.

Added: 05.04.2013 10:40 | 14 views | 0 comments

Nintendo apologises to gamers unable to buy a copy.

"I'd like to apologise for the current stock shortage due to high demand of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate at retail," Tweeted Shibata.

"New #MH3U stock will hopefully be available in shops next week for Wii U and mid April for Nintendo 3DS. Both versions of #MH3U are also available on Nintendo eShop. Again, I sincerely apologise for causing any inconvenience."

The launch of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate – combined with console price cuts - saw Wii U sales more than double for the week, but the launch of Lego City Undercover had little impact on console sales.

Review: LEGO City: Undercover | G3AR

Nintendo doesnt have a great track record with sandbox games, once jokingly dismissing GTA by saying, Mario would never start shooting hookers. So dont expect their first trip into an open world to be full of minifigs in fishnets and yellow plastic intestines spilling out into the pavements. LEGO City: Undercover is a family jaunt, but that does not mean that it offers nothing for graduates of Rockstars criminal classics.

Shawn Long of GAMINGtruth takes on the open world environment of LEGO City Undercover: "These issues aside, LEGO City Undercover is a solid game for Wii U owners. While it doesnt redefine the sandbox game genre, it does add a new twist with not needing violence and drugs to be entertaining, but quality writing and fun missions."
