Call of Duty: Black Ops II: Uprising Review | Gaming Age

Gaming Age: "I definitely feel like Uprising is a piece of DLC thats worth your money, if for no other reason than the Mob of the Dead mode. But Studio is an excellent addition to the maps featured in Black Ops 2 so far, and while Magma and Vertigo fail to excite, Encore certainly has some merit. If you havent already picked this pack up, then Id definitely suggest doing so, even if youre not a huge zombie fan. I think youll be surprised with how fun Mob of the Dead ends up being, I certainly was."

The second downloadable content (DLC) pack for the phenomenally successful Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Uprising, is available now for Xbox 360 and will make its way to PC and PlayStation 3 in due course. As many have come to expect from the post-launch additions to Call of Duty videogames, Uprising doesnt add enough new to the core campaign but instead chooses to flesh out the additional gameplay modes. Both the multiplayer and zombies components get fresh new content, so whether youre a solo player or love working with/against your friends, theres something included for you.

Activision and Treyarch released a new trailer for the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Mob of the Dead DLC, which is part of the Uprising DLC pack, containing a couple of new maps for the price of several full version indie games. However, I must admit that the Where are you going trailer is pretty slick.

John Whitehouse writes: Reviewing Call of Duty DLC can be a difficult thing; how does one convey their opinion on four multiplayer maps, when there is no storyline and everyone already knows pretty much what to expect. The good thing about this review is it is only going to help people part with their cash that much quicker.

Uprising is a solid offering from Treyarch. Fans will be treated to a host of incredibly varied maps with a much more energetic feel to the engagements, and the best Zombies mode to date.
While its not necessarily a bad thing theres no new gun bundled with Uprising, especially given the concern people had about the Peacekeeper taking the series into pay-to-win territory, it is a shame. Treyarch pulled it off last time and its clear that a shotgun would be right at home amongst the tight corners and winding corridors of the new maps.
It's also disappointing that theres still no hardcore option for those wishing to jump into a playlist consisting solely of the new maps.
These are minor points of course and Treyarch have managed to keep the momentum going with Uprising. Sure, the maps arent as interactive as they might have been and the inclusion of a remake might not be to everyones taste but this is still an excellent package

ThisisXbox: "Activision and Treyarch has dropped the second downloadable map pack content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, titled Uprising which can be purchased now for 1200 Microsoft Points (discounted for Season Pass holders). Theres no new weapon DLC as per the first content drop, but fans of the original Black Ops should be excited to learn that the hugely popular Firing Range map has been re-imagined as a movie set in this latest expansion alongside Treyarchs most terrifying Zombies experience to date in Mob of the Dead."

GIZORAMA - The second DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is finally out for Xbox 360 with four new multiplayer maps and a new zombie map. Vertigo, Encore, Magma, Studio, and Mob of the Dead will set you back 1200 Microsoft Points or the cool price of free if you already own the Black Ops II Season Pass. Dont expect this pack out for other platforms for at least another month, but when it comes out you can expect it to be $15 (or free with a Season Pass).
