As usual, cant have nice things. The western collectors edition of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain includes a half-size replica of Snakes artificial arm. On the other hand, Japanese gamers wont just get the spiffy Special Edition PS4, but they will also have access to the Premium Package edition, which will include a full size 1:1 scale replica of Snakes arm.

The Collector's Edition, which is set to retail for $99 in the US and £99 in the UK, comes with a bevvy of physical items, including a half-scale replica of Snake's bionic arm, a "collectible" Steel Book, a behind-the-scenes documentary and collection of trailers on Blu-ray, a map, and unique packaging. It will also contain a bunch of DLC items, ranging from weapons like the "Adam-ska Special Handgun", through to new costumes for Snake, and yes, three different types of cardboard boxes.

Those who fork over $59.99 (£59.99) for the Day 1 Edition of the game will only be treated to the physical map, as well as a reduced selection of DLC. Those picking up the PC version on Steam at launch will also have access to the DLC.
