Tony Polanco from The Koalition: "For gaming news we talk about how certain Australian retail stores are no longer selling Grand Theft Auto V, how the Xbox One supposedly outsold the PlayStation 4 during Black Friday, the Assassins Creed Victory leak, and the possibility of Marvel and Star Wars characters appearing in Kingdom Hearts 3. On the Pop Culture side of things we discuss whether or not Luke Skywalkers original lightsaber will play a crucial role in The Force Awakens, how AMC spoiled The Walking Dead for millions of viewers, the Suicide Squad cast reveal, and the official synopsis of the Fantastic Four movie."

TellTale Art: Three Properties That Deserve the TellTale Treatment

Added: 05.12.2014 15:11 | 11 views | 0 comments

UM writes: All licensed games are terrible. For years, there were few truer axioms in all of popular culture. After getting burned by the Superman 64s, the Fight Club fighters, and the oh so many Bat-tastrophes, most gamers grew to believe that if it carried a familiar name, still treat it as if it were a stranger and dont let it give you a ride. And then this small company out of California came out of nowhere andwellit was a game changer. Their name is TellTale and with incredibly high quality, award-winning games based off of preexisting properties such as Back to the Future, Fables, and, of course, The Walking Dead, theyre proving that theres still hope somewhere in the digital domain for licensed games. With TellTales new A Song of Ice and Fire (thats Game of Thrones to you non-readers) and Tales from the Borderlands game, the company is showing theres no end to their dominance over name brand gaming. And Im happy for it. BUT I WANT MORE, DAMNIT! So, today Il...

Game of Thrones Episode One: Iron From Ice Review [Pixel Gate]

Added: 05.12.2014 8:11 | 3 views | 0 comments

Pixel Gate writes: ''Telltale have seemingly continued their blitz on 2014 with their fourth licensed game of the year. After their successful runs with The Walking Dead, Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, Telltale have released their take on Game of Thrones, possibly their biggest challenge to date. Based on the TV show, which in turn is based on a series of fantasy novels called A Song of Ice and Fire, Game of Thrones has been exciting the masses since its announcement. The concept of Telltale creating a brand new story in such a beloved universe was mouth watering. The game is set around House Forrester, a house never mentioned in the show (as of yet) and only scarcely in the books, banner men to House Stark. The first episode picks up in line with the infamous red wedding and creates a expanded narrative centering around the impact of the event. The bulk of the plot revolves around establishing Forrester history and traditions, while introducing the key players in and aro...

Tales from the Borderlands Episode 1: Zer0 Sum Review - Pixel Related

Tales from the Borderlands marks a nice change of pace for Telltale Games. Both of their previous standout efforts of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us have been pretty straight laced, almost completely composed of suspenseful twist, and moments of heart-wrenching drama. Naturally, taking on the world of Pandora means that Telltale is now aiming for your funny bone.

Tales From the Borderlands Episode 1 Review {Critically Sane}

Added: 04.12.2014 16:16 | 4 views | 0 comments

Critically Sane: "From a technical perspective, Tales From the Borderlands looks and plays as you would expect a Telltale adventure game to play. By that I mean janky animations and sometimes stuttering transitions. It doesnt feature the more game-killing bugs that the original season of The Walking Dead did, but it also isnt a fully smooth experience. It is a shame, but it is kind of a notable calling card of these Telltale adventures that they are just a bit janky. But the jank is forgivable for the most part because Tales From the Borderlands is fun. Really, really fun. It is two hours of action packed hijinks with fun writing, interesting characters, and just enough of a shift to the Telltale formula that it feels fresh and exciting. I cant wait until Episode Two releases"
