The same goes for Mad Max, Assassins Creed Syndicate, Just Cause 3, FIFA, Star Wars: Battlefront and Rainbow Six Siege. Ive previously credited Xbox One has having a slight window to catch up to the PS4 with two powerful exclusives, Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, on the horizon, but though both will sell well, in the grand scheme of things, its possible (probable) there is no catching PS4 at this point.

Cubed: The "walking sim" has become a sub-genre that many lazy indie developers have embraced because it can give the excuse of being an "adventure game" that harkens back to Myst, while totally abandoning what made that game so effective. Typically, these games tend to be very minimalistic in their story-telling, with barely any features or depth, and communicate their story in the most schmaltzy or posed way imaginable. Sometimes, it is done effectively (Hideo Kojima's P.T.), but most of the time they are pretty laughable and boring games with no replay value. When Uppercut Games decided to do their own take on the "walking sim," they opted to pretty much use the standard playbook as a bible, as well as being derivative of other popular "artsy" games, and delivering it in a buggy, incomplete messy wrapping. Submerged is an unmitigated wreck.

GB: When youre a free-to-play mobile game, youre always hunting milestones. Publisher NHN Entertainment revealed today that its mobile action role-playing game Guardian Hunter has passed 3 million downloads worldwide just three months after launching. That makes it a hit in a mobile market that could be worth $30 billion in 2015, according to market research firm Newzoo. The free-to-play title is available on iOS and Android. Guardian Hunter comes from Korea, but 90 percent of its sales happen outside of that country.
