BagoGames | Ratchet Clank is the Spitting Image of a Gem in the Making

Added: 28.08.2015 19:18 | 39 views | 0 comments

BagoGames It was this past E3 that Insomniacs rebooted Ratchet Clank made its show floor debut to the masses and only in the past week that rumors its demo being available at local Gamestop retailers began to surface. It was to my mild surprise one lazy afternoon at my local Best Buy to find a demo staring back at me from a PS4 kiosk and I gladly accepted the invitation. What I found was something ridiculously short, ridiculously beautiful, and quite possibly brilliant eventually.

Some fans may dispute this speculation, but the rationale is pretty solid.

Whispering Willows Review - TXH

Added: 28.08.2015 18:18 | 0 views | 0 comments

Neil writes "When I first heard of Whispering Willows, I was expecting a title that would give me nightmares, would have my palms sweating and would only be played during the daylight hours. Billed as a horror themed adventure title, strangely my initial opinions never came to fruition. For Whispering Willows is in no way scary, however it does bring a superb tale that just needs to be experienced."

Review: Blues And Bullets (Xbox One) - Episode 1: The End of Peace | Short Pause

Added: 28.08.2015 17:18 | 42 views | 0 comments

Short Pause: "Arguably, episodic adventure games are hitting their peak. As a fan of story driven games, I am absolutely in love with this genre (albeit, a bit frustrated with it at times due to the wait time between episodes, a fact exaggerated that much more when the series is excellent). When I saw the first trailer for Blues and Bullets, I was immediately hooked on the concept. An alternate reality crime saga featuring a heavy noir style and focusing on Elliot Ness and the mob? Sign me up! After months of anticipation and teases, developer A Crowd of Monsters latest outing has finally made its debut on the Xbox One and does little to disappoint."

The Unusual Origin of Knock Knock on PS4

Added: 28.08.2015 15:00 | 58 views | 0 comments

Hi! We're called Ice-Pick Lodge, and we're happy to announce that September 10th will mark the PS4 launch of Knock Knock -- a creepy horror game with a rather unusual backstory. What do you, a small-to-mid-sized indie studio, do when an e-mail pops up full of mysterious scribbles, notes, and audio files -- coupled with a vague description of a possible game? In all honesty, more often than not you probably try to conjure up a polite and friendly response; perhaps discuss the sender's ideas with them. But that's not what happened at Ice-Pick Lodge studios in November 2011.

Oh Ubisoft, How I Loathe You

Saint Killjoy writes: "I should be pretty ecstatic and happy today. Ive been added to the Heroes of Might and Magic VII Closed Beta. The Heroes of Might and Magic series is one of my favorite gaming series that originated from the 90s. When offered the opportunity to be a part of this, how could I say no. QA is one of the many things that I do within the realm of gaming beyond journalism."

Gears of War Ultimate Edition Review | Gamereactor UK

Added: 28.08.2015 11:18 | 6 views | 0 comments

GR-UK writes: "When you factor in buying and playing this game before the end of the year gains you free downloadable tokens for the three other Gears games - including side-title and prequel Judgement - to download and play when BW kicks in this autumn, it pushes this from being a great game to being an excellent compilation. If you've never played the series until now, prepare for overkill (though we're reserving full judgment until the titles release and we get to test if they and their multiplayer modes work flawlessly on Xbox One). And even if you have, having the entire collection as one easy to launch gameplay session from your Xbox One Guide is a very nice bonus."

Final Fantasy VII Review: A Great Opportunity, Slightly Missed | Gamezebo

Added: 28.08.2015 7:18 | 5 views | 0 comments

Gamezebo: When considering a review of any video game, it helps to know the biases of the person writing it. In the case of Final Fantasy VII, Ill get mine out of the way up front: at the time of its original release, it was my favorite game of all time, remaining in that spot for years. To be able to play it on a phone or tablet is something I never would have dreamed possible 18 years ago.

The Gamer Scene - Zombi (PC) review

Added: 28.08.2015 7:18 | 1 views | 0 comments

Zombi is the updated and enhanced version of the WiiU game, ZombiU, and has recently been released on PC, Xbox One and PS4. When it was first released for the WiiU it came out to mixed reviews and poor sales but was praised for its use of the Gamepad, maintaining high tension as gamers had to look away to check their inventory, check the map or use the scanner. When first announced for other platforms, many critics and websites questioned the developers on whether or not they could maintain the tension without the Gamepad. Zombi maintains the high tension of its predecessor but is still bugged by the same poor gameplay mechanics and repetitive combat that doesnt make this adventure worthwhile if youve played the original.
