The A.V. Club Niko Bellic is a man frozen in place. When he arrives in Liberty City, hes alone, destitute, and alienated, but hopeful for a brighter future that seems, if only for this moment, attainable. When the credits roll on Grand Theft Auto IV, though, hes the samesans the hope. He might have earned some money, doing things hed rather not discuss, and a few houses to his name off the backs of those hes killed. But hes gained no status and no real place to call his own, just a ledger of ugly acts and the untimely deaths of people hes cared about. Niko Bellics story is a cynical one, Rockstars blatant evisceration of the American dream from the perspective of an outsider for whom that dream has no place.

WGTC: When last we left the ragtag heroes of Tales From The Borderlands, things were looking somewhat bleak. An Empire Strikes Back-esque ending saw the gang outnumbered and outgunned by the vicious Vallory, and any hopes of an escape seemed unlikely or foolhardy. Now, as the action picks back up right where players last left off, it seems escape was even more than unlikely. Dragged into an unwilling lets say alliance with Vallory, Rhys and Fiona have to come up with a plan to lead their friends back toward Helios, where they will have to retrieve the final Gortys piece for the Queenpin.
