The best racing game since Gran Turismo 3. During the past 10 years no racing franchise has been more impactful in the genre than Forza. When Turn 10 entered the scene it changed the way gamers and developers thought about how racing games should be designed. When Bungie announced a new leveling system being implemented in Destiny to allow people to reach 40 through nothing but XP grinding, the news was celebrated by fans and detractors alike. Promises of players now being able to max out at 40 just by playing and earning XP seemed like a positive step forward at the time. In fact, according to an online calculator, I have spent 12 hours playing it (although it doesn't count idle time spent in orbit or in the Tower, so it's probably closer to 25 in real hours). The vast majority of that time was in the first week or two after launch, when everybody I knew was playing. I blasted through the story missions, reached level 20, and then abruptly stopped."
