The Wolf Among Us: Episode 4 In Sheeps Clothing Review | Metal Arcade

Metal Arcade: Jason Bakker writes: As much as I love The Wolf Among Us, it pains me to say that Episode 4 In Sheeps Clothing is basically filler. While the acting and dialogue are still top notch, this episode of TWAU just doesnt move the story along much, with obvious stall tactics all over the place. In Sheeps Clothing is rife with exposition and light on action, and its the shortest episode by far at just over one hour. Still, the action thats here is exciting, and the episode builds up just enough tension to make for a strong cliffhanger where we get to see crime kingpin the Crooked Man in the flesh for the first time.

The Wolf Among Us Episode 4 In Sheeps Clothing Review | Analog Addiction

Jamie Briggs, Analog Addiction writes: "In Sheeps Clothing directly follows the explosive ending of the previous episode of The Wolf Among Us, which showcases Bigby Wolf at his most physically vulnerable moment in the series. The opening scene showcases Bigbys true weakness (silver bullets) and allowed me to truly understand how dire the encounter with Bloody Mary truly was. After seeing Bigby as an unstoppable force during the entire season, the realisation that Bigby has a true weakness was an interesting concept to comprehend. Like everyone, Bigby is vulnerable."

This season has held the player at a bit of a distance and made them watch interesting things unfurl without quite feeling like theyre involved, but this episode, at least, lets you feel like youre in control of your reactions to the plot a bit more than previous ones did.

EB's TenBensons writes, "After the disturbing events at the end of the last episode of Telltales The Wolf Among Us, we join the fourth episode as Bigby and Snow White are gathering their thoughts and trying to make sense of the carnage left in the wake of Bloody Mary. In Sheeps Clothing has a constant feeling of restraint hanging over Bigby; that he needs to start being more careful and its a theme that has run throughout the entire series but never before has it been made more poignant than after the initial opening of episode 4."
